Fenris

I remembered it all so clearly.

It was a few minutes before sunrise, that moment when the sky is glowing pink and orange and the clouds are spreading out over the sky as the darkness fades away. That moment when you know that yesterday is finally over and a new light is shining.

The morning dew was glittering on the blades of freshly mowed grass. Everything was so still and quiet that early autumn morning. I thought it would be like any other day, but it wasn't. In the corner of my eye just for the briefest of moments I saw something. When I looked, my heart stopped as a massive beast stood on the other side of the pasture.

His muscles rippled under his thick syrup-colored fur, his eyes were the color of moonlight, and in a blink of an eye…he was gone.
