Sixteen
Sidney’s POV- September 2014
The date was running smoothly as far as I am concerned. Joanna had her hair up in a crowned braid and she wore this stunning pearl colored dress. She wore a little more makeup than usual and her lips were pink from the lipstick she was wearing.
“Do you miss LA?” I asked her.
She took a sip of her wine and smiled.
“Of course I do. You could do so much in LA”
I nodded.
“I miss the weather the most”
She closed her eyes and let out a deep breath.
“There is also no beach here”
I laughed and she opened her eyes to look at me. Those blue eyes of her stared at me as she frowned.
“I used to go surfing once a week. I miss it”
I nodded and she shrugged.
“I like it here though, and I will go home for a bit during the summer”
“You haven’t called Pittsburgh home yet?” I asked her.
“I’m starting to”
I smiled and nodded.
“Ari’s lease is done I think January so we’re looking for a better place to live”
I nodded.
“Where are you guys looking?” I asked her.
She looked at me.
“I went to Lucy’s apartment and it’s beautiful. Why don’t Olli and her live together?”
“Something about space” I said to her.
Olli wanted to live with Lucy but Lucy said they had been dating for a little bit of time. She loved Olli to bits but it was to soon, he was welcomed to stay for sleepovers though.
“They’re adorable though”
I looked at her and saw she was smiling. She scrunched up her nose at me and grinned.
“Beau and Ari are disgustingly cute as well. I think they were going on a date as well”
I nodded and took a sip of my water.
“Yea, Beau was telling me about it” I said.
She then looked at me and smiled.
“Beau also said you had to ask me out to something”
I laughed and shook my head. Leave it to Beau.
“Yea, there’s this Halloween party” I said looking at her as she cut a piece of chicken.
She put her knife down and looked up at me.
“When is it?”
She took the time to put the piece of chicken in her mouth. As she chewed I looked at her mouth and I let out a deep breath as I failed to remember the date of the party. Duper had told me the date and I forgot because I was to busy looking at her mouth. She had no idea what effect she had on me.
“Either the second or third week of October” I said.
She smiled and nodded.
“I can go”
I smiled at her and she looked away from me.
“Beau and Ari are here”
I turned around to see Beau making his way over. He grinned at us and Aria shook her head lightly as she followed him.
“Hi guys, didn’t know you would be here”
I looked at Beau and pursed my lips.
“You did, I told you” I told him.
He frowned a little and Aria looked at us.
“Sid, we have reservations here. Beau is just being stupid”
Beau smiled at us and they excused themselves. They were literally like right across from us. But Beau actually paid attention to Aria, so I let it drop. I looked a Joanna who smiled at me as she took a sip of her water.
“Well…. that was interesting”
I laughed and looked at her.
“Yea it was” I said.
“He’s a sweetheart”
I nodded slowly and she glanced at them.
“It’s nice to know she’s got someone that will take care of her”
I looked at her and nodded.
“Yea, he’s a good guy. A total jackass but he’s nice” I said making her laugh.
“I guess”
She offered me some of her chicken and I nodded, as I tasted it.
“Steak?” I asked her.
“Sure”
She opened her mouth as I put a piece of steak in her mouth.
“My chicken is better”
I laughed and shrugged. We continued eating and talking about our days, and what we had planned. Our waitress made her way over and asked if we wanted desert.
“Do you want desert?” I asked.
She looked at the menu and pursed her lips.
“I’m stuffed, and the prices”
I began shaking my head.
“I can make cherry pie and eat the whole thing and it’d be less”
I looked at her and she smiled.
“I have desert at the apartment. I made some brownies”
I looked at her and nodded. Her brownies were delicious.
I paid for the bill and we made our way out. She waved at Beau and Aria as we passed by them.
“Dinner was great. Let’s go for a walk”
I looked at her.
“You’re wearing heels” I told her.
“I’ll live, come on now”
We crossed the street to the park and she giggled as I slowly followed her.
“Come on”
She grabbed my hand and I pulled her closer to me.
“Who’s your favorite music artist?” I asked.
She looked at me.
“Selena”
I raised an eyebrow and she smiled.
“She died back in 95. I grew up with that type of music around the house, Tex-mex music”
I nodded and smiled.
“So what’s your favorite song?” I asked her.
“It’s a Spanish one”
I nodded and signaled for her to continue.
“It’s called Si Una Vez which means if once”
I nodded and smiled.
“Sing it” I told her.
She laughed and shook her head.
“Come on, sing” I said lightly poking her.
She laughed and pushed my hands.
“I can run in heels”
“You won’t get far” I told her.
“You can’t glide on cement Sidney only Ice”
I laughed and she smiled at me.
“Come on, sing it” I said.
She laughed when I pulled her against me.
“Come on” I said.
She nodded and smiled.
“No”
She then looked at me and winked.
“Beau and Ari are on a date”
I looked at her.
“Which means the apartment is empty. We could eat brownies”
I smiled when I felt her hand on my waist.
“Want to take those brownies to go to give them privacy?” I suggested.
She looked at me and smiled.
“Under one condition”
I cocked my head to the side.
“We build a fort”
I nodded and smiled.
“We can, I have lots of pillows” I said as we made our back to my car.

It seems i have an ear infections -_- woooooh!So i had a fever all day yesterday and not only that but i was supposed to study for my midterm on Tuesday. I feel much better now considering i could actually look at a laptop without not wanting to pass out or throw up.
