A Romance of Little Words
2
That nagging feeling that won't let go
reoccurring thoughts of repetitive nature
I open my yearbook and flip through hurriedly.
I've seen those eyes before, those dull eyes
eyes that express little but are also deep
lost in a world of fiction or worries;
at last, my suspicions confirmed,
a girl who was in my graduation year.
She too I recall was more or less silent
frequenting the sanctuary of the school library,
sometimes I would pass by and see her through the windows
and always I would walk on without a second thought.
She too was also alone most of the time
though she would talk animatedly with her friends
when they approached her.
But our glance earlier today leaves me pondering
if there was any meaning behind it.
