Protection

Alexander came to with a throbbing head. Slowly he sat up his hand instantly clutching his skull and groaning. It felt as if he was being hit over the head constantly with a rock. Blinking his eyes he turned his head and when he saw the space opposite him was empty he remembered the events of last night.

“Raknah!” He called out and when he didn't receive an answer he knew what had happened.

She was gone.

Cursing loudly he got to his feet quickly. Too quick, he swayed on the spot before falling. He hit the dirt with a harsh thud. He needed to find her but with his head like this he was going have to go slow and he didn’t want to do that. He needed to find her before anything horrific happened to her.
