Memories of the Past

This is the first chapter in an unnamed novel I have been working on for about 6 months now, I'm excited to share it because I feel that since you guys don't know me to personally, then you can really critique me well and show me what you guys want and what you would like to see less of. I plan on having this as a trilogy series of books that I will fine tune with the help of the people that everything is based off of. They seem very happy with it so far but some things that they like may not appeal to my readers. Now I'm blabbering about nothing. Please enjoy and give me the feedback because that's really what I'm looking for with this.
