Bruise Me

The Whole World

You took my hand,
Your fingers ghosting over my palm,
But what was the purpose?
You pulled me along behind you,
Slowly,
Gently,
As if you thought I might break.
You lead me up the stairs,
And into your room.
Your hand still holding mine,
And you looked me in the eyes,
And told me,
That you loved me.
And as the words left your lips,
I was sure,
That the whole world was a lie.

You laid me down,
On your bed,
And got on top of me.
I didn't fight you.
And you might wonder why,
The world is a lie,
Remember?

You kissed my lips,
And I laid still beneath you.
The fire inside me,
Is trapped.
Like a bird in a cage.
Because I was cursed,
With the inability to force out words,
Or to even make a peep.
Or to fight back against you.
You were in my destiny,
You were inlaced in my life by the stars,
Or so you say,
So when you pushed yourself inside of me,
I had nothing left to do,
But just lay still and wait.
The world,
Is a lie,
Remember?
