Surprises are Always Good
[Saturday]
Waking up the day after the party, somehow on the floor, I had the best headache for how much I drank. Jack on the other hand…I don’t think he’s had a worst headache. I guess I won’t be getting that surprise today.
“Alex? Where are we and why does my head hurt SO much?” Jack asks sounding very scared.
Stifling a laugh I answer, “We’re at my house considering we both got drunk. Your head probably hurts because you drank like twice your weight in alcohol.”
“How did we get home? Also, I need Advil like right now.”
“I don’t know, some kid drove us. Do you want water or orange juice?”
“I don’t care my head feels like it’s gonna explode.”
As I walk into the kitchen I realize what Jack had said to me when he was drunk. ‘You look so fucking hot.’ Oh my god. What if he found out about my crush? Not even Hayley knew about that. There’s no way he’s serious, but what if he is? What if he was thought I was someone else? This is too much to think about while dealing with two people with hangovers.
“So, do you remember anything that happened yesterday?”
“Not really. I remember running into you a lot, but that’s it pretty much”
“Ok…cool. So what about that surprise today? Should I expect it tomorrow instead?”
“Yeah, since we’re both hung over I guess I can wait until tomorrow. Hey I think I’m just gonna head home.”
Suddenly feeling very awkward I say goodbye to Jack and sit on the couch with my phone. Well this is gonna be a fun day, especially considering Jack doesn’t seem to remember much about yesterday.

9:45 A.M. Text to Hayley: so todays the day jack supposed to give me a surprise
9:50 A.M. Text from Hayley: What do you think it is??
9:52 A.M. Text to Hayley: i have no clue but I think its gonna be gr8
9:56 A.M. Text from Hayley: Maybe he's gonna give you an early birthday present
9:59 A.M. Text to Hayley: like three months early?
10:03 A.M. Text from Hayley: Hey, you never know
10:06 A.M. Text to Hayley: whatever nerd im gonna see if hes awake yet, i wanna know what the surprise is!
I say bye to Hayley then call Jack. He picks up with a very tired sounding hello. “Hey did I wake you up?”
“No, I wasn’t asleep in the first place.”
“Oh, well, when do I get the surprise? I’m so excited!”
“Um…I don’t know. Can I come over later? I’ll tell you then.”
“Yeah sure. I’ll be here all day.” I wonder why he can’t just tell me now. I guess I’ll find out later.

I've been sick the past couple days, so I didn't do anything but this is what I've been working on. I tried to make the texts bolded and italicized, so hopefully it works.
