What I Did for Love

When Are You Going Tell Him?

Ana bit on her lip as she looked over the final copy for the Magazine, she was a little proud of it. She had only been in Dortmund a Month, but the people she worked with were just fantastic. A knock at her door made her look up, she waved in her assistant Neil. They had gotten on well since she had first arrived, Ana knew she was lucky to have him.

" Is there a problem?" she asked Neil.

" No but there is a Handsome footballer sitting outside wanting to talk to you" Neil said grinning at Ana.

Ana rolled her eyes at Neil, he was a big Dortmund fan, but she was sure it was just because of how hot Certain Players looked.

" Who is it?" Ana asked, already knowing the answer.

Neil ignored her question and asked one of his own " You didn't tell me you knew Dortmund's little darling" he gushed.

" I didn't think it was Important" Ana replied, handing Neil the finished draft for the Magazine.

" That is ready for print, now go" Ana said.

Neil knew Ana's tone, it meant get it done now, he wasn't about to argue with her. " Do you want me to tell Marco you will see him now? Neil asked.

Ana nodded her head then got back down to finishing her email to Harry, he wanted weekly reports from her to start with, then it would change to monthly ones.

Marco stood at Ana's door and watched her as she worked quickly, He hadn't seen her in a few weeks, because of Emma. He felt a little guilty for that, which is why he found himself at her work place right now.

" Are you going keep standing there?" Ana asked, without looking up from her computer.

Marco stepped into Ana's office, he took the seat opposite her desk, he waited until she was done with her work.

And finally looked at Marco, her traitorous heart skipped a beat at the sight of him, he looked good in his Jeans and his white shirt. His hair was styled to perfection, she wondered how long it took him.

" How are you Ana?" Marco asked, cutting the awkward tension, they hadn't seen each other since their almost kiss.

" Good, why are you here?" Ana asked rather bluntly.

" Mats wanted me to invite you out tonight" Marco lied, Mats had suggested it, but it was Marco who really wanted Ana to join them tonight.

" Mats wants me to go out with you guys tonight" Ana replied, not really believing Marco.

Marco sighed, he knew that he was busted " I want you to join us, we have hardly saw each other since.... Marco trailed off as he saw the look in Ana's eyes.

" Since Emma walked in on us" Ana finished for him.

Marco shifted uncomfortably in his chair, he could tell that Ana was a little angry with him.

" I am sorry about that" Marco mumbled.

Ana shook her head, she wasn't that mad with him, his girlfriend had every right to be upset though.

" For trying to kiss me, or for Emma walking in? Ana asked.

" Both, I got carried away, I shouldn't have let it get that far" Marco said.

" Agreed, I forgive you" Ana said.

Marco smiled at Ana, he expected her to be a little more cold with him " Thank you" he replied.

" Now are you going tell me, why you have been avoiding me?" she asked, turning her cold green eyes on him.

" Emma didn't want me seeing you for a while" Marco confessed.

" Do you do everything your girlfriend tells you?" Ana asked him.

Marco groaned, Ana was angry he had hoped to avoid that.

" I am sorry, I shouldn't have listened to her" Marco sighed.

Ana stared at Marco, he did seem sorry, but he hadn't done anything really wrong, he was trying to keep his girlfriend happy.

" You should, she is your girlfriend, I am only a girl you met a few months ago" Ana said.

" I have known you longer" Marco bit back.

" Maybe, but you are dating Emma, she obviously doesn't like me, so we should keep our distance.

Marco shook his head at Ana's suggestion, he wasn't going to stop hanging out with Ana because Emma demanded it.

" I don't want that" Marco blurted out quickly.

" Then what do you want?" Ana asked.

" I Want to spend time with you tonight, please say you will come" Marco begged.

Ana looked unsure, she didn't want to start any trouble between Marco and Emma.

" Won't Emma be there?" Ana asked.

" No, she is away Visiting her family" Marco replied.

" I don't know if this is a good Idea" Ana admitted.

" Please, you can even bring some friends" Marco said, putting on his best pouting face, it worked for him most times.

" Fine, give me the name and time and I will be there" Ana said.

Marco grabbed a pen and bit of paper from Ana's desk, and quickly wrote something down in German. He handed it to Ana, who tried to read it, but couldn't her German wasn't that great yet.

" In English Marco" she said, handing him the pad of paper back, Marco wrote in English and then handed it back to her.

" So I will see you later?" Marco asked, getting to his feet.

" I guess you will" she replied.

" Great I will see you later" Marco said, as he heading out of Ana's office, he was just glad that Ana had agreed to come tonight.

Ana waited five minutes before she called Neil back into office, she knew he would love to hang out with a few players tonight.

" What are you doing tonight?" she asked Neil as he stood at her door.

" Nothing why?" he asked.

" You are coming out with me tonight" was all Ana said, keeping the fact that they would be meeting up with a few of the Dortmund players later to herself, the surprise on his face would be worth it.

Ana sipped on her drink, she had arrived at the club with Neil a little over half an hour ago, still there was no sign of Marco.

" You look great" Neil yelled at her, the music in the club was rather loud.

" Thanks" Ana yelled back, she was just wearing one of her old dresses that she forgotten she had. It was a strapless blue dress , nothing to flashy. She had her hair pined up to keep it off her face.

" That dress is lovely" Neil said, if Ana was his type he would have tried it on with already, she was a pretty girl.

Ana smiled at Neil's compliments, he was such a nice Man, which is why she asked him out tonight, he was the one who made her most welcome at work.

" You don't look so bad yourself" she replied, glancing around the club, it was mostly full, she had no Idea how she would spot Marco in this club.

" So why are we here?" Neil asked.

" Marco invited me and I thought since you were a big fan, you would want to meet him properly" Ana replied, her eyes on the dance floor.

" We are meeting the players?" Neil asked, his eyes widened a little.

" Only if you want to" Ana said, smiling back at him.

" Of course I want to meet them, where are they?" Neil asked glancing around the club.

" I don't think they are here yet" Ana said.

" Then why don't we go and dance for a while" Neil replied, putting his drink down and pulled Ana onto the dance floor before she could protest.

They danced to a couple of songs, Neil was a funny dancer, he had Ana in hysterics at his dancing. A Justin Bieber song came on suddenly and that is when Ana decided to go back to her seat. A arm slipped around her waist stopped her from going anywhere.

Ana looked over at Neil who had such a love struck impression on his face, so she had a idea of whose arm was around her waist.

" Dance with me" Marco whispered into her ear.

Ana turned to face him, she looked him up and down,he looked good and the aftershave he was wearing also smelt good.

" I don't like this song" she said, a teasing smile on her face.

" Well I do, so dance with me" Marco begged, while looking at the man who Ana had brought with her, he had saw them dancing together and hadn't liked it, So decided to interrupt them.

" I am dancing with my friend" she said, looking back at Neil, he was still staring at Marco.

" I am sure, he won't mind us dancing one song" Marco shot back.

Neil laughed at the bickering between Ana and Marco, they were really cute together. " I need another drink anyway, I will get you another one too Ana" Neil said before he stalked away.

Ana playfully Hit Marco " Now look what you have done, you have chased my friend away" she said.

Marco's grip tightened on her as he pulled her close to him " I am sure he doesn't mind" Marco said, as they moved to the music.

" I can't believe am dancing to Bieber" Ana muttered, trying to ignore the way Marco was dancing with her. If she was Emma and saw how they were dancing she would be pissed.

" I told you he is really good" Marco said.

" If you say so" Ana retorted.

The song finally ended, Ana stepped back from Marco and started to head back to Neil. Marco pulled Ana pack and pointed up to the VIP Area, where Mats was taking Neil.

" lets go" Marco said, taking Ana's hand and leading her up to the VIP Area.

Ana watched as Neil spoke to the players about the game,he hadn't let anyone get a word in, he was too excited.

They had been at the club a few hours and Ana was beginning to feel tired. She stifled a Yawn as she looked over at Marco, he was talking to a female fan. He had been by her side for most of the night, yet she felt that familiar feeling return, she couldn't be jealous they were just friends.

" When are you going to tell him?" Mats asked ,as he sat down beside Ana. He had watched Ana and Marco all night, they certainly didn't act like just friends. The way they talked and laughed with each other, plus the looking at each other, when the other wasn't look was classic signs.

" I have no idea what you mean? Ana lied.

" Ana, you're a lousy liar" Mats replied.

" He has a girlfriend called Emma" Ana fired back.

Mats chuckled, he knew for a fact that if Marco knew Ana was interested he would break things off with Emma.

" Only because he doesn't know about your feelings" Mat said quietly.

" I don't have feelings" Ana said, going on the defensive.

" You sure about that?" Mats taunted her.

" Shut up Mats"Ana Mumbled into her drink.

Mats grinned at Ana, she clearly did have feelings for Marco, but just wasn't willing to admit it.

Marco had finished with his fan and walked back over to Mats and Ana, he could see they were talking about something. Ana was glaring at Mats, she was annoyed with him about something.

" Everything okay here?" Marco asked.

Ana glanced up at Marco, her face was a little flushed " Yes, your friend is just a little annoying" Ana replied.

Mats laughed loudly, before he excused himself, giving Marco his spare seat.

" Ana are you okay?" Marco asked.

Ana smiled weakly at him, she just wanted to go home now, she was done " Just a little tired" she admitted.

" Do you want to get out of here?" he asked.

Ana looked back over at Neil, he didn't look ready to leave yet, Marco followed her gaze.

" If you want, I can get one of the boys to take him home" Marco said.

" That would be great" Ana replied.

Ana and Marco stood up, Ana went over to Neil to say goodbye, he give her a knowing look when he saw who she was leaving with.

" It's not like that" she whispered quietly.

" If you say so" Neil shot back, he could see how much chemistry Ana and Marco had, it seemed his friend was refusing to even acknowledge it.

" I will see you tomorrow at work" Ana replied, then started to follow Marco out the club.

" Have fun Honey" Neil called after them.

Ana ignored his comment, and kept her head down as she followed Marco, to his car,he hadn't been drinking tonight.

Marco suddenly stopped and turned back to Ana, he stared down at her, a look in his eyes that Ana wasn't familiar with. " I forgot to tell you how beautiful you looked tonight" he said, making Ana blush.

" Thank you" she said, stepping up to give Marco a kiss on the cheek.

Marco turned his face, so her kiss landed on his lips, Marco placed his hand on Ana's cheek as he kissed her again. He was expecting Ana to push him away, he was relieved when she began to respond, Her arms wrapped around his neck as they kissed. Marco didn't care about getting caught, it was dark and not many people could see them.

Ana finally pulled away from Marco, a little breathless from the kiss, she hadn't seen that one coming.

" Come back to mine" Marco whispered into her ear, trailing kisses down her jaw.

Ana just nodded, She couldn't think straight when Marco was standing this close, she knew she would probably regret this in the morning, but right now didn't Care. It was just one night it was no big deal.
