The Song of the North
Legolas's mother died when he was only a child. His father doesn't speak of her, there is no grave to visit, and no one mentions her name. She is a ghost, haunting his mind with what little memories he has left of her.
Since the battle for the Lonely Mountain, his mind has lingered upon his mother's memory. He has questions, so many questions that need answering. And it seems that the North is exactly the place to find his answers.
An ancient race of Elves once lived deep in the Grey Mountains in a hidden valley where they thrived with wealth and riches. Legends of these Grey elves reach the young Prince's ears, and hears them more and more often as he travels with the Dunedine. And the sightings of a white haired woman in the forests spur on the Prince's determination.
Legolas will go on a journey to find answers. And he will learn the tale of his mother's life and death.

This will be a time based fic that will jump back and forth between Legolas's POV and his mother's POV.
