Say You Don’t Want It

One: Shut Up & Kiss Me

Resting back against his locker, Cristiano allowed his eyes to close, the strange feeling of regret and upset washing over him. It wasn’t unlike him, pulling stunts and being the ‘special one’ was all part of the persona he had built over the years, but that didn’t mean it didn’t hurt. He hated that he had made Iker yell at him, he hated that the fans had booed and jeered as they had come off the pitch, but most of all, he hated that he had caused another spectacle with something as simple as refusing to go to an interview.

He wasn’t trying to be cocky, he wasn’t trying to act like a petulant child. He just didn’t want to talk, not to the camera, not to the fans, he just didn’t want to say a word.

“Are you going to be alright Ronaldo?” Iker Casillas posed as he looked over at the Portuguese man, his expression still tight and stern.

Cristiano lifted his head and nodded stiffly, offering his captain a weak smile.

“Look” Iker sighed gently “We have to thank them Cris, even if they are being assholes, they are still our fans and we perform for them. I am sorry for what I did, but you understand that right?” the Spaniard posed.

Cristiano nodded. “I understand Iker” he muttered.

Iker smiled. “You know we made it through right?” he teased, trying to alleviate some of the tension.

Cristiano forced out a chuckle. “We did…just” he returned.

Iker offered him another look before he patted his shoulder. “Go home Cris, get some rest” he mused before he padded away.

Cristiano watched after him for a moment before he turned to his locker, pulling the door open slowly. He didn’t want to go home, his house would be empty by the time he made it back, and that was the last thing he wanted. He had grown into a habit of overthinking and merely wanted something to distract him, even if it was just for a little while, he was sick of thinking and wanted something to take his mind off things. Pulling out his jacket, he wrapped it around his figure quietly before he took his bag, slinging it over his shoulder. Sparing the locker room a final gander, he moved towards the door and pushed it open, his ears alerted by a small squeal. Peering ahead of him, he noted the girl that sat on the floor, her hand tentatively rubbing her arm which had clearly been hit when he opened the door.

“Lo siento” he murmured as he set his bag down, preparing to help her up “I wasn’t looking where I was going” he added.

The girl shook her head. “You have nothing to be sorry for. I should have noticed that the door opens outwards” she returned as she pushed herself up, ignoring the offer of his hand. Cristiano frowned a little at the action. Most people he met were dying to touch him, even if it was something as simple as a hand up, but the girl didn’t even bat an eyelid. “Are you ok?” she posed.

Cristiano nodded. “Fine. Why?” he poked.

“Because the match finished an hour and a half ago and you are still here. I thought you and the rest of the team would want to get out of here as soon as you could” she quipped with a little grin. Cristiano had to admit it was cute, even if she had made a veiled insult at the team’s performance.

“You’re here too” he returned.

“That I am, but I am an unpaid intern. If I wasn’t here it would be a surprise” she grinned.

“Intern? I haven’t seen you around before” he mused.

The girl laughed a little, like she had thought of amusing retort, but she didn’t say a word. Instead, she merely offered him a cheeky smile.

“Can I ask your name?” he posed.

“Alexis Moreno. I go by Lexi most of the time” she mused.

Cristiano nodded. “Well, Lexi, I was on my way out” he mused.

“Don’t let me hold you up” Alexis mused as she stepped back slightly.

Cristiano chuckled. “I was rather thinking that you could come out with me. I need someone to keep an eye on me and you don’t appear to be doing much” he mused.

“I am working” Alexis replied.

“Not anymore you’re not” Cristiano replied, his usual brash smile on his face “You’re coming with me to a bar and we are going to set about stopping thinking for a while” he mused.

“What makes you think I want to go out with you?” she mused.

“Most people do” he quipped smugly.

Alexis laughed, but nodded her head, kind of liking his confidence.

“Good” Cristiano smiled “But I do have one rule” he mused.

“What?” Alexis posed.

“That we don’t mention Real Madrid at all” he returned with a more serious tone to his voice “I just need to stop thinking about it for a little while” he added. Alexis nodded her head. She couldn’t say she was surprised by his request, things did appear to be on a slide for the team and she didn’t blame him for not wanting to talk about it. There appeared to be very little explanation or reason for the sudden change in form that had occurred since the turn of the year.

“You live here?” Alexis giggled drunkenly as she slipped out of the taxi that Cristiano had ordered to take them back to his place. It hadn’t been long, the pair had merely drunk a lot very quickly, and Alexis couldn’t help but be a little amazed. The last thing she had pictured herself doing when she had arrived at work that morning was going out and getting drunk with Real’s famous number 7.

“Yup” Cristiano mused as he followed her along.

“It’s very nice” Alexis mused childishly.

“It’s even better on the inside” Cristiano mused “You should see my bedroom” he added brazenly.

Alexis, when she was sober, was sure that she would have hit him for saying something like that, but in her current state, she merely giggled at him. “You’re an idiot” she giggled.

Cristiano shook his head and stepped towards her, closing the gap between them as he slipped the key into the lock of the front door. “I can’t be that much of an idiot” he murmured lowly “I managed to get you back here without a fight. I must be at least a little bit intelligent” he mused.

Alexis looked up at him for a second, her blue eyes meeting with his dark ones. “I am drunk, Cristiano” she murmured “I would have probably gone home with anyone” she teased.

Cristiano shook his head. “Shut up” he murmured.

Alexis giggled. “And what if I don’t? Are you going to send me home without sex?” she teased, her blue eyes shining in amusement.

Cristiano offered her a sharp look before he placed his hand at the back of her head, pushing her lips against his. Alexis gasped a little at the strength of it, but Cristiano merely used it to his advantage, allowing for a battle between their tongues that he was quick to win. “Are you going to shut up now?” he murmured as he pulled back for a breath.

Alexis nodded and placed her hands on his neck, pulling him back to her.
