Curse of an Era

For 4,000 years, the ancient gods of PI-Setra obeyed the universe's rules and laws about the existence of life and humans. Over that time each god and goddess created their own non-human specimen, as their own people. Anubis, god of the dead and guardian of the dead, decided to create reapers and making the first reaper their king.

In the ancient world, the word Maat meant order and balance. For the last nineteen years, cases keep appearing threatening the existence of Maat, a modern version of the theory of the end of the world.

It all starts when all the victims are reapers, non-humans that cannot be killed by any weapon or disease. Reapers can only die by being cursed by the gods, which is a rare occasion. When the victims are discovered mostly by gunshot wounds, something is very familiar but very unusual.

The Army of Darkness comes in to solve the case, A reaper army for a last resort. Once the last royal blood line of reapers are gone, the reapers will go into extinction, causing a huge break in Maat's history.

Who are the killers, and why do they want to kill off reapers?
