I'm the Last One That You'll Ever Remember

Chapter 209: Ice Cream Cake

Sneaking through the front door with a boxed Baskin Robin Ice Cream cake in one hand, Frank was hit with the delectable aroma of dinner already being made. His stomach growled even harder than it did in the car with the smell of oreos in the air deriving from the cake on the passenger seat beside him. Purposely tiptoeing down the hall towards the open living room, kitchen and dining room to see what everyone was up to, his hazel eyes flew to the set table for dinner instead because his stomach demanded him to.

Frank couldn’t wait to eat! He was practically starving to death with every passing minute.

The Iero-Way children were seating themselves at the dinner table when Frank let out a hearty greeting. “HELLO! Mommy’s home!”

“MOMMY!” Lorenzo shouted with his twin sister as he bounded from his chair to embrace his mom.

“YOU’RE HOME, MOMMY!” Venetia cheered as she threw herself up on her mom’s other leg since her brother occupied the left one. With a giggle, she and her brother were littered with kisses.

Lowering himself into a crouch just in time for Jovani and a bumbling Milo to arrive, Frank set the ice cream aside to envelope his children in his arms and give them kisses upon kisses on their little cute faces. It didn’t take long for them to spot the cake box with the ice cream cake protected inside.

“CAKE!” Jovani shouted in jubilation, his little hands gripping onto the sides of the box.

“CAKE?!” Lorenzo screamed, jumping up and down. “Mommy, can I have some?”

“I want some too, Mommy!” Venetia exclaimed, clapping her tiny hands with excitement.

Sliding the cake box out from Jovani’s weak hold and before Milo could climb up onto it, Frank rose back up to his full height and held it above his own head, just as eager to get to it as they were. Loud enough to be heard, he shushed the four sugar-craving children. “HEY! Quiet down!”

All four lowered their voices at once. Anything to get to that delicious treat!

“You want some of this cake?” Frank inquired of them, arching a brow. He earned four enthusiastic nods. “Well then, you’ll have to wait til after dinner and do NOT think about asking me again or you won’t get any cake at all tonight. Do you understand me?”

Dramatically, all four collapsed to the floor in defeat, Milo being slower. They’d have to wait in order to get a taste of the sweetness contained within that box. It wasn’t an impossible feat, but it sure sounded like one to them. Having no choice, they all agreed. The oldest were especially determined to keep their younger siblings in line too just in case it might ruin their chances at having cake themselves.

“Good, now where is daddy?” Frank asked them, knowing full well where he was.

“In the kitchen.” Lorenzo answered, a smile no longer on his face.

“Din Din.” Jovani added afterwards with a miserable pout on his face.

Entering the living room, Frank smiled at the sight of his husband on the other side of the counter portioning the dinners among six plates while also making up the twin’s bottles. Aware that he was being closely followed by all four children eyeing the box in his hand, Frank glanced down at them. “Alright you guys, dinner’s ready. Go get into your seats to eat.”

All four children let out a whine of their own as they reluctantly spun on their heels and headed for the kitchen table. If they had to eat dinner to get some cake, then so be it.

Stepping around the counter to enter the kitchen, Frank greeted his husband with a kiss on his cheek. “Evening, my sexy hubster!”

“Evening, my sexy baby machine.” Gerard greeted back with a grin on his face. “How was your day at work? Did overtime get to you?”

“Shockingly no! It wasn’t that bad today.” Frank briefed him while putting the cake in the freezer so it wouldn’t melt anymore than it already had. Shutting it, he updated his husband. “Also, I already got the kids set up in the Daycare program at my job. If something happens with the place close to your job or they’re too full up to take our kids in, I can bring them to work.”

“That's awesome, baby!” Gerard told him as he turned to him to hand him the kid’s plates while he took the bottles for the newborns in their swinging chairs by the dining table. “I still gotta fill in the paperwork for the daycare across the street from my bookstore. I hadn’t had a chance to get around to it today.”

“I can do it for you if you want.” Frank offered as he left the kitchen to place the two plates in front of his oldest twins, then returned to the kitchen to get the last two to the kiddie table where Milo and Jovani sat because they were too small to sit at the table. Upon retrieving Gerard’s and Frank’s plate, he finally sat himself down with an enticing meal in front of him.

Gerard, surprised at how fast his daughters drunk their bottles down, burped them at the same time onto a baby towel draped over his shoulder. Once they were finished, he set them back inro their swing chair and gently slid it over to his chair so he’d be able to watch them closely while he ate dinner.

With everything set, the Iero-Way family began to eat their dinner, random conversations flowing from the children’s mouths at every given time. There wasn’t a moment of silence at that table but both parents were used to the noise by now and now find silence odd. Naturally, the parents were done first, and had to aid their offspring to chat less and finish their plate more. Frank took to the little kiddie table while Gerard focused on the older twins. Pretty soon, their meal was mostly gone, and the adults were instructing their kids to carry their plates to the kitchen. While those plates were disposed of, clean ones were brought out for the Ice Cream Cake. Lining up, the kids were ecstatic to get a slice of true heaven.

Convening in the living room, the family took a seat on the couch and watched a movie voted on by the kids. They spent the rest of the kids freetime enjoying the film even while the little ones fell asleep beside them one by one. Allowing the movie to finish, Gerard stayed downstairs to clean up the mess of ice cream cake while Frank carried the kids up to their beds. It was a task that took him up and down the stairs, but he missed his babies and wanted to be the one to tuck them in tonight.

Making his final return downstairs, Frank came up behind Gerard who was crouched down in front of the twins swinging chairs to check up on them. Setting his hands on the elder’s shoulders, he gave them an affectionate squeeze as he reminded him. “Somebody’s birthday is coming up soooon!”

Smiling in awareness, Gerard straightened up, feeling Frank’s hands sliding down his back before he turned to face him. Placing his hands on his hips, he drew his short husband closer against him. “I know, and I’m hoping there’s gonna be a sexy surprise in order from my husband.”

“Oh trust me, honey, there will be.” Frank vowed in a sultry voice, his hazel eyes smoldering with lust as his hands slid up his husband’s chest then down again to loop around his waist.

Shivering with excitement for what he had in store for him, Gerard leaned down to seal his lips over his husband. He drank in his fill of Frank’s taste to restore what had since waned in his absence since he last saw him that morning. His hands gripped tightly onto Frank’s hips as he responded with a ravenous degree that made him moan. Without thinking, Gerard mumbled against his lips within the haze of desire. “Perhaps we make another baby?”

Jerking back from his husband’s irresistible lips, Frank lightly smacked him on the chest for even suggesting another addition to their already large family. “Gerard Arthur Way, you are a fucking madman that needs to get locked up if you’re asking me for another baby for your birthday!”

Laughing at his husband’s playful backlash, Gerard wrapped his arms around Frank’s waist to pull him close enough so he could nuzzle his face into the crook of his neck. “I was just kidding, baby!”

“Uh-huh.” Frank replied, not believing the man who seems addicted to pumping babies into him one after the other. He was only 18 and already had 6 kids under his belt! What 18 year old could say the same?

Unwinding his arms around Frank, Gerard went into the kitchen to grab the daycare forms and took a seat at the kitchen table. “Alright, it’s finally time to get these done now that I have some free time.”

Eager to assist him despite his own long day, Frank sat down beside him. “Let me help you.”
