I'm the Last One That You'll Ever Remember

Chapter 85: Be My Boyfriend

Gerard’s fist cut his target off with a forceful swing to her nose before her drunk horny self could touch him, feeling and hearing it break beneath his hand. He watched as she dropped back down onto the bed on her back, completely knocked out consciousness. “Not tonight, darling, or any other night for that matter.” Reaching into his back pocket, Gerard produced two black zip ties, a ball gag, a black pillowcase, and some gloves. He first donned on the rubber gloves before rolling his target’s body over onto her stomach, not bothering to pull her cocktail dress back up to shield her breasts from the other Killjoy’s eyes that were waiting outside. After pulling her arms behind her back, he zip tied her hands together and then her ankles. Crawling onto her back on the bed, he applied the ball gag in her mouth and belted it from behind before draping her already blackened world into even more darkness with the black pillow case over her head. “Perfect.” Gerard whispered to himself with a smug smile before crawling back off her and throwing open the closest window. With an effortless punch, he knocked the window’s net off and down onto the yard below. Placing his fingers in his mouth, Gerard let out a short but loud enough whistle to signal the other killjoys in wait to get into position. He wasn’t sure what they had planned specifically to get all the party people outside the house to get inside the house, but he hoped it would work so he could hurry up and get back to Frank downstairs.

Suddenly, there was an uproar of voices below, like something serious was going down. Gerard frowned to himself and looked back over his shoulder at the bedroom door, his ears listening in to the commotion echoing from the first floor. He couldn’t pick out any words being exchanged between shouting, until some guy screamed out from the front of the house to the people outside. “YOU GUYS, THERE’S A FIGHTING GOING ON IN THE KITCHEN! AND VANESSA AND CHRISSY ARE SO DRUNK THEY’RE TRYING TO START AN ORGY IN THE BASEMENT, MAN! LET’S GO!”

In seconds, the yard was cleared of lingering possible witnesses. Gerard sighed impatiently, his foot tapping on the hardwood floors as the seconds ticked by. He was relieved when he finally heard the same whistle call below his window. Sticking his head out, Gerard growled at two guys waiting for him. “It’s about time!”

Jet pointed to Drummer next to him. “Hey, he was taking shots, Iris was being picky on who he was going to start a fight with, and we had to had to get Citrus and Canary hammered enough to accept the possibility of having an open orgy for the whole damn party downstairs in the basement!”

Drummer nodded in agreement with a smirk. “And soon after we’re done here we gotta go rescue them by breaking up the party and charging in there as the ‘jealous boyfriends’ and shit.”

“Whatever.” Gerard muttered to himself as he ducked his head back into the room and walked over to the bed to haul his target into his arm. She wasn’t heavy or anything, but the sight of her fake boobs was making him feel uneasy. They just looked so hard and painful and the skin looked like it was about to burst right open! Anyway, very little care or effort, Gerard eased her feet out the window, feeding her body through, until she slipped out of his arms like a slippery bar of soap and fell two stories down. He wiped his hands on his pants before sticking his head through the window to see that Jet and Drummer had caught the body and were now carrying her off into the darkness of the night to wherever they stashed their getaway car. Gerard kept a look out for them by watching them go as he pulled off his rubber gloves and stuffed them in his back pocket. He didn’t expect, however, that the bedroom door would open behind him and allow a stranger inside. Snapping his head back to look over his shoulder, Gerard’s light brown eyes clashed with a pair of big hazel eyes filled with fear. “Frankie?”

“Gerard! What are you doing up here? I’ve been looking everywhere for you!” Frank exclaimed as he strode over to him, the blanket from the couch downstairs still wrapped around his shoulders tightly. His eyes were wide with uncomfortable fear, and his lips were now fading back to their normal pink since they last kissed.

Just like an expert, Gerard thought of the perfect lie…at least one that’ll definitely fly over Frank’s head. He gestured to the open window. “I saw a cat jump out this window and I came over to make sure it landed safely. Sorry if I kept you waiting too long, beautiful.”

Completely forgetting about the fight downstairs that he almost witnessed that scared him to run upstairs to find Gerard, Frank’s eyes lit up and his hands came up to rest over his heart. “Aww, Gerard! That’s so cute of you to do!” The sound of glass breaking downstairs made him jump in fright, and suddenly he remembered why he was up there. “There’s a fight going on downstairs and it frightened me. I came up here to find you just in case I was hit next.”

“No, come here, beautiful.” Gerard whispered to him as he opened his arms to him. Frank was against him in a second, and Gerard closed his arms around him, laying his cheek on the tops of his soft brown hair. “No one at this party is gonna lay a finger on you, you hear me?

“I hear you.” Frank nodded against his chest before lifting it to look towards the bed.

Gerard frowned down at him. “What are you looking for, Frankie?”

“When I was coming up here to find you a guy told me some guy and chick were having sex in here.” Frank informed him before lifting his eyes to Gerard’s.

“Well.” Gerard smiled down at him before dipping his head down to give his soft lips a kiss. “It’s not me, that’s for sure.” He watched Frank give him a happy smile before an idea came to his mind. It was the type of idea he never thought he’d ever find himself having, personally. Leaning down again, Gerard gave him a kiss, lingering before pulling back far enough to whisper against them sensually. “I want to dance with you.”

Frank blushed and pulled away to mumble. “But I don’t know how.”

“Neither do I. So, let’s go look like fools together.” With that having been said, Gerard took Frank’s hand and led him back downstairs where the once violent party had now turned back into being what it had originally been when they arrived. No one was fighting. Everyone was either sitting around chatting and drinking or dancing in the middle of the living room. Gerard found a spot on that same dance floor and turned around to tug Frank’s body up against his. He wrapped his arms around his waist, and with a hand on his behind, pulled Frank up along the length of his body. Frank hesitantly placed his hands on Gerard’s shoulder just as the older man laid his forehead down against his. Together they closed their eyes and began to move to the beat. Not the beat of the music playing through the speakers, but the music only they could hear. It was strange as their ears canceled out the fast bumping beat to accept a made up slow one. Still, they swayed to it until finally a slow tune came on. A tune that caused their lips to part, their heads to tilt up and their mouths to meet once again. Gerard loosened his hold on Frank to cup his face in his hands to deepen the kiss. Frank surrendered to the power he had over him by placing his much smaller hands over Gerard’s.

“Oi, you faggots, knock that shit off! Nobody wants to see that!” Some guy shouted at them through the music. He was pissed off to see that the two men kissing hadn’t heard him, and so he decided to take matters into his own hands. Striding over to them, he stopped behind the tallest and drop his big beefy hand on his shoulder. “EH, DID YOU HEAR WHAT I FUCKING SA-”

Gerard eyes snapped open, and instinctively he made the wrong move. Well, Poison did. He had slipped out and took the violent route by elbowing the guy in the face, breaking a second nose tonight. It all happened so fast, Gerard had no choice but to act fast. As soon as the guy hit the floor on his back, Gerard took off running through the crowd to the front door, all the while dragging a terrified Frank along behind him. Once they were outside and a few feet from the house, Gerard came to a stop and let him go. He mumbled a curse as he caught his breath. “Fuck.”

“OH MY GOD, WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT, GERARD?!” Frank cried out, more in shock than anything at what just happened not two seconds ago.

“Everything’s okay, Frankie.” Gerard assured Frank as he turned around to face him. “You’re safe now.”

“No! I’m not worried about me!” Frank dismissed with a wave of his hand before pointing at him. “I’m talking about you! Why…Why did you hit him?”

Gerard ran a hand through his black hair, and lets out a sigh. Poison was the reason why he hit that guy. He’s been Poison for a large portion of the night. Only Poison could do what a Killjoy is meant to do, not Gerard. But it wasn’t like he could just tell Frank that. No, once again he had to make up another lie on top of the many lies he’s already told him. “I actually knew that guy, I’ll admit. He’s one of the biggest homophobes I know. I witnessed him beating up a few guys like me growing up and…” He shook his head defiantly, looking away. “I was going to let him get near enough to you to do the same thing…so I hit him.”

Frank didn’t know why Gerard’s confession touched him. What he had just done in there was wrong, no matter how you look at it, and yet…Frank was walking over to him, placing his small hands on Gerard’s big chest and looking up with him with admiration. “Thank you, Gerard.” Leaning up on his tiptoe, he pressed a kiss to Gerard’s lips, keeping it short and simple. He pulled away, landed back fully on his feet, and all that time had a romantic smile on his face. “You know what? I think I’m ready.”

Struck with confusion, Gerard lifted an eyebrow and gave him an uncertain smile. “Ready for what, babe?”

“I’m ready to put a label on our relationship.” Frank reveal, grinning like a lovestruck fool.

Gerard’s eyebrows rose in surprise. “Are you being serious right now?”

Frank’s face turned pink as he blushes and nodded, asking the older man shyly. “W-Will you be my boyfriend, Gerard Way?”

As much as Gerard wanted to, he couldn’t be Frank’s boyfriend. The young boy wasn’t his to have, and he was well aware of this. Frank Iero belonged to Poison of the Killjoys…and yet Gerard’s face broke into a grin as a chuckle spilled from his lips. What was he kidding, he couldn’t deny Frank anything! “Yes, Frank! Yes, I will be your boyfriend! I’ve never wanted anything more than that in my whole life.”

With a squeal, an overjoyed Frank launched himself into Gerard’s already open arm. Together, they sealed their relationship with a first kiss.
