"Sidney" Madison called
"Ya?" He said walking out of the bathroom in a towel, she smiled as her eyes roamed his body
"I have to study so if you want you can go to Taylor's practice"
"Are you sure?"
"Ya I really need to brush up on some stuff" she said, he nodded
"Ok" he said with a smile, once he left she put her nose deep into the books. After a few hours she took a break for some lunch. She noticed a text and opened it. It was from a friend in Boston. She clicked on the link and photos of her and Sidney appeared

the couple are tying the knot sometime next year. After nearly 8 years of dating Crosby finally got down on one knee to pop the question to the oldest daughter of Mario and Nathalie Lemieux, let's hope this is out of love and not him sucking up more to Mario in hopes to stay a penguin
She closed the site and put her phone down, she faught back tears and tried to open her book to study, she hated being in the news.
"The girls where focused more on drooling over you than what you were saying" Taylor said walking into the apartment annoyed, Sidney chuckled and shrugged
"I won't go to anymore"
"No!"
"Well then don't complain" he said
"Hey" Madison said walking out of her room
"What's wrong?" Sidney asked
"Nothing why?"
"You've been crying" he said
"It's nothing I'm fine"
"Maddy really what's wrong?" Taylor asked
"Ben sent me this link over text and I opened it" she said opening the link, she handed the phone to Sidney, Taylor got closer to her brother so she could see. Sidney looked at the pics of the 2 of them out and about before reading the story out loud. When he was done he looked at Madison, she bit her lip

"I know it's made up but you know how I get when I'm in the media" she said, a warm tear rolling down her cheek
"I know, this is why I don't want you reading these things"
"You can't help it though, you know, you want to see what they are saying about you behind your back" she said
"Yes you can" he sighed "it's a daily thing for me but it doesn't matter what they say" he said, she sighed and looked at him "what matters is, I love you" he said wiping away the tear on her cheek "and I'm not going anywhere and I'm not with you because of who your dad is" he added with a smile, she smiled and nodded
"I'm sorry"
"For?"
"Getting upset"
"It's natural to get upset sweetheart" he said
"But it's silly"
"No it's not, if it was the other way around I would get upset too" he said, she nodded her head "I know it's hard, and sometimes I wish I could stop the media and the people that hate me from saying the things they do, afraid you will hear or see it but I can't...."
"I don't listen to anything that the people who hate you say" she said, Sidney chuckled
"Good, what website is this?" He asked looking at the phone "ya see, this author is a bruins fan" he said pointing out the name
"Oh" she said, he smiled
"Go get ready, I'm going to take you girls to dinner" he said hugging her tightly, she melted in his arms but managed to nod her head "I love you"
"I love you too" she said, he patted her butt as she turned to walk away, Taylor looked at him, he shrugged and walked to the couch
"Your ok with going out in public here?"
"Ya Boston doesn't scare me" he said, Taylor chuckled. A few minutes later Madison walked into the livingroom and both Taylor and Sidney looked at her, Sidney smiled. She had her hair pulled back, hardly any make up on, jeans, a black pens shirt and black Nikes. It was his favorite look.
"Ready" she said, he smiled and stood up
At dinner, Sidney and Taylor talked about hockey while Madison sat quietly and ate her steak and potatoes
"Baby you ok?" He asked reaching across the table to take her hand
"Ya I'm just tired" she said with a smile, she pulled her phone out and saw Lauren calling "hello"
"Hey sis"
"Hey what are you doing?"
"Can you please call dad tonight? Geno asked me on a really nice date but I didn't want to say yes until dad is ok"
"Oh umm ya, I'm at dinner with Sidney and Taylor so when I get done and get home I will call him"
"And then call me back"
"Alright" Madison said
"Thanks sis, I love you"
"I love you too" Madison said hanging up
"Sister?"
"Ya it was Lauren"

"was it about Geno? Sweetie are you sure your ok?"
"Ya I'm just really really tired and I don't know why" she said
"I'm gonna get the check so we can go then" he said flagging down the waiter, once he paid they got back into Madison's car and within minutes she was asleep
"She must be worn out" Taylor said
"It's been a busy couple of weeks" Sidney said looking over at his fiancé
"Let her sleep then" she said
"I will"
"That means don't try to get in her pants" Taylor added, Sidney chuckled and pulled into the apartment complex
"Here take her keys" he said "I'm gonna carry her up"
"Hmm" she groaned
"It's ok baby I got you" he said gently carrying her into the building. Taylor pressed the elevator and when it arrived they got in and went to the 7th floor. Taylor opened the door and Sidney walked in going straight to the bedroom, he laid her down before grabbing one of his tshirts and shorts, he undressed and dressed her without her waking up, he covered her and shut the door behind him
"She wake up?"
"No, I even changed her and she didn't wake up" he said
"That's weird"
"Ya I know" he said with a shrug
"I gotta get home to study, tell her goodnight and keep a eye on her"

"Love you too Tay" he said hugging her, she walked out and he locked up before going to the bedroom.
"Oh my god" Madison yelled sitting up in a panic, Sidney quickly sat up, his heart pounding out of his chest
"Babe, it's ok" he said, she looked at him and calmed down
"Your here" she said softly reaching for him
"And I'm not going anywhere, lay down" he said, she nodded and snuggled up closer to him, her breathing slowly started to go back to normal, and he closed his eyes. The next day, she woke up and went to the kitchen while Sidney slept. She made omelets with turkey bacon and toast, before walking to her room
"Babe" she said, Sidney rolled over and smiled
"Breakfast in bed?" He asked she smiled as handed him the tray "how did I get so lucky?"
"I ask myself that everyday" she said with a smile, he smiled and kissed her before sitting up more
"Come join" he said, she nodded and crawled into bed, after they ate Madison took the tray to the kitchen and went back to see Sidney had turned the tv on "come here, let's stay in bed all day" he said she smiled and cuddled up next to him
"I have to call my dad, I forgot last night and laur text me like 10 times" she said, Sidney smiled and continued to play with the ends of her hair. She unplugged her cell phone and dialed her dad
"Hey sweetie"
"Hi daddy, what are you doing?"
"Just some yard work, what are you guys doing?"
"Just laying in bed watching tv, I fell asleep really early last night"
"Everything ok?" Mario asked
"Ya I was just really tired that's it" she said "so dad, Lauren wanted me to talk to you about something"
"Lauren? Why can't she talk to me?"
"Because I've been through what we are about to talk about"
"Oh?"
"Ya....so she likes a certain hockey player and she wasn't sure how you would react" she said just cutting to the chase
"Geno?" He asked, Sidney looked at her and smiled
"Ya how did you know?"
"I've seen them eyeing each other, you know I see everything" he said she chuckled
"What do you think about it?"
"Geno is a good kid, I don't know how the hell she can carry on a full conversation with him though he barely speaks English"
"He asked her out on a date but she won't give him an answer until you are ok with it"
"It's not my relationship"

"I don't care as long as he doesn't hurt her" He said
After a few more minutes she handed Sidney the phone so Mario could talk to him. When he was done he hung up and Madison text Lauren to tell her what they had talked about. A few minutes after setting her phone down she was asleep again, Sidney looked over and brushed the hair from her face before kissing her head lightly. A few hours passed by and Sidney gently shook her to try to wake her up
"Sweetie it's 1pm" he said "you need to wake up"
"It's really 1?
"Ya you've been asleep for 4 hours, all this sleep isn't healthy"
"Well I don't feel good" she said
"What's wrong?"
"My throat hurts, my body hurts, my head hurts" she said, he put his hand on her forehead
"Your really warm. Where is the thermometer?"
"Bathroom" she said, he got up and walked to the bathroom, a few moments later he came out and handed it to her, she put it under her tongue and sighed. Once it beeped Sidney took it from her mouth and looked at it
"102.1" he said "I'm going to go to the store and get you some soup, electrolytes, and meds" he said grabbing his wallet "you stay here" he said kissing her head, she nodded and closed her eyes. When he got to the store he pulled his hat down a little lower hoping to not be noticed.
"Is that Sidney Crosby" he heard, he looked down and quickly found the soup aisle
"What's he doing here" he heard, he sighed then quickly found the medicine aisle, he looked up to see people had stopped shopping to stare at him. He rolled his eyes and found Gatorade before going to check out
"You're pretty brave" he heard, he turned to see a girl from Taylor's hockey team "you don't remember me do you?"
"Ya you play hockey with my sister" he said
"Tori, nice to meet you officially" she said holding out her hand

"What are you doing in Boston?"
"My fiancé lives here she also goes to northeastern" he said
"Fiancé?"
"Yes" he said with a smile "it was nice chatting with you" he said taking his receipt "thank you" he said to the cash register
"Bye Sidney" Tori said, he waved and quickly headed out the doors. When he got back to the apartment he quietly fixed the soup and poured Gatorade in a glass before walking into the room, again Madison was sound asleep. He set everything down before kneeling by the bed.
"Hey baby" he said quietly, she opened her eyes and looked at him, his heart broke seeing her so sick. "I made you some soup" he said, she started to sit up as Sidney grabbed her and helped her the rest of the way, he set the tray in front of her. She took one spoonful before busting in tears, Sidney sat down on the edge of the bed.
"It hurts" she said touching her throat, her voice extremely raspy.
"Try to get some liquids down, I got some medicine I will go get it" he said kissing her head, she set the soup down and heard her cough

"Hey sweetheart how do you feel?"
"I'm alright, Madison is real sick though"
"Oh no, is she pregnant?"
"What? Mom! No!"

"She isn't pregnant. She has a high fever, body ache, sore throat, cough, runny nose"
"Theraflu day and night. Start her now"
"Ok that's what I got" he said looking at the bottles "I'm gonna get back to her"
"Ok call me tomorrow and let me know how she feels" Trina said
"Alright"

"Love you too bye" he said hanging up, he poured the medicine into the small cup and walked to the room "here baby" she looked up and took the medicine "If your like this tomorrow you gotta stay home"
"I can't it's the first day of my last quarter" she said, he smiled
"Your so stubborn"
"Just like you" she said, he chuckled and crawled into the bed "I don't want to get you sick"
"Baby I'll be fine, you need to get better so we can plan our wedding, and get you graduated" he said she smiled
"What about before the next season?" She said he looked at her and smiled "I graduate before Christmas, then you finish your season between April and June and we can get married in September before everything gets too hectic" she said
"That is absolutely perfect" he said kissing her head "gives us time to plan as well" he said she nodded
"I've been thinking about it" she said with a smile.
