At brunch Madison was so happy to be there with her best friend who had moved to New York City after they graduated high school, her sisters, her best friend in Pittsburgh and all the girlfriends and wives of Sidney's teammates. She sat back and looked around the table, one day she would be a hockey wife and she couldn't wait for the day. Once the limo parked the girls began to pile out one by one.
"I'm so happy your both here" she said hugging Chelsea, Taylor smiled
"There is nowhere else we would rather be" Taylor said, Madison smiled. After brunch and several mimosas later the girls headed to the spa to get massages, after they where finished, they got their nails and toes done.
"Now for hair and make up" Vero said with a smile, Madison smiled and sat down, she was exhausted. All the studying, the short plane ride and the sexual activities had worn her out. "You ok?"
"Huh ya, just thinking about sid" she said with a smile
"Whatcha thinking about?"
"Just wishing he was here" Madison said as the hairdresser started to put her brown hair in curls.
"You'll be with him soon" Vero said looking at her phone

Good she doesn't suspect a thing- Vero
She put her phone away and smiled at Madison. After the girls got their hair and make up done they loaded back into the limo to head back to Sidney's house. Once inside they spread out and started to change. They had an hour to get ready before they had to leave. Vero stepped out of the room
"Hello? She said into her phone
"How is everything?" Sidney asked
"It's good"
"Is she with you?"
"No she is upstairs in your room, you ok?"
"I'm so nervous"
"Just breathe" Vero said "is everyone there?"
"Almost, just waiting on a few more" he said
"Were almost done here, text you on the way"
"Ok. Thank you so much Vero this really means a lot to me" he said, Vero smiled
"You know Marc and I love you and we absolutely love Maddy so of course" she said, Sidney smiled.
"The last of everyone is here"
"Ok, relax, have one drink and we will see you soon"
"Bye" he said hanging up, he turned and hugged his mom and dad, before turning to hug Mario and Nathalie
"It's almost time" Troy said squeezing his shoulder
"How are you holding up sweetie?" Trina asked rubbing his back
"Nervous as hell" he chuckled
"Here bud" Marc said handing him a Jim and coke
"Thanks" he replied
"Deep breathes" Nathalie said
"I just want to umm thank all of you for being here, for traveling here, finding baby sitters, for helping get her here. You guys are absolutely amazing" he said to the group, he moved around and said hi to everyone.
"They are pulling in, Mario you ready?" Nathalie said
"Yes" he said with a smile, he turned and looked at Sidney "your a lucky man"
"Thank you, thank you for everything" Sidney said shaking his hand. Trina continued to snap pictures, Sidney rolled his eyes and walked out.

On the ice Sidney saw they had put down a bunch of carpet so nobody would fall, he smiled and looked around. Their friends and family began to walk to the ice. He nervously went over the things he wanted to say to her in his head, he knew she was there so it was just a matter of time before he would be in front of her. He was the captain of the Pittsburgh penguins, on magazines, billboards, all over tv in the US and canada, he had been a Canadian phenomenon since he was 14 but at this moment he had never been so nervous in his entire life.
"Ok girls Vero, Madison and Catherine you girls will be blind folded" Nathalie said, the girls chuckled "Maddy your dad is gonna walk with you" Nathalie said "Catherine, Kris is gonna walk with you and Vero, Marc is gonna walk with you" she lied. She made sure Madison's blind fold was on tightly before removing the blind fold she put on Catherine and Vero first. The girls smiled at Mario and he took his oldest daughters hand, the girls took off to the ice leaving the 2 of them.
"Just stay by my side sweetheart" Mario spoke
"Ok" she giggled "This is so weird" she said
"Were gonna walk down the hall and down a few steps" he said, she nodded and they began to walk down the hall way
"Where is Sidney?"
"Signing autographs" he lied, he smiled and continued to walk. He had went over what he was going to say if she started to ask questions but lucky for Mario she didn't. Once they got to the opening of the stairs, Mario looked at his daughter who was still blind folded and smiled, her black dress hugged her tightly, her heels matched perfectly. She was a princess, but no longer his princess. He wiped away a tear and opened the door. On the ice Sidney caught his breath as she appeared in sight, his eyes filled with tears and his heart pounded. Nathalie and Trina held onto each other, the tears already falling. Chelsea smiled at her best friend and wiped some tears away. The girls smiled as Mario led her to the ice. Sidney stepped forward to take her hand once she was on the carpet.
"Sidney?" She asked realizing the change in hands
"Hi" he breathed nervously, he let
go of her hand and turned her a little more
"Where are we? It's cold" she said, he smiled and removed the blind fold and she opened her eyes, she blinked a few times getting adjusted to the lights, she giggled and looked around nervously seeing everyone but not understanding "What's going on?" She asked
"I have so much I want to say to you, to tell you what you mean to me and that could take all night, all year, even the rest of our lives. Meeting you in 2005 was the best thing that has happened to me, I no longer live for hockey I live for you. You are my best friend, and you are my soul mate" he said holding onto her hands, she stared into his eyes. Her heart pounding in her chest, she wasn't exactly sure what was happening but she was hoping it was what she wanted "You make my bad days better and my good days perfect. You are my biggest fan and words will never be able to express how much you mean to me, and how much I love you, you handle my bad moods better than I think anyone could ever. You are absolutely breath taking and you make me fall more and more in love with you everyday" he said he slowly got down on one knee, everyone around her still a blur, she cupped her mouth with her free hand and tears automatically came to her eyes "Madison Lemieux will you marry me?" He asked, he let go of her hand and opened the box
"Oh my god" she said, she nodded her head and he took the ring from the box and slipped it on her finger "yes, yes I will marry you" he said. He smiled and stood up, she threw her arms around him and kissed him. "Oh my god I love you" she whispered, he smiled and kissed her again
"I love you too" he said, everyone began to cheer and she chuckled looking around
"Oh my gosh" she said. "Mom, dad" she said hugging them. She hugged her sisters and brother before making her way to Sidney's parents
"There is no charity event?" She asked wiping her eyes, everyone laughed. She realized the entire penguins organization was there.
"No" Nathalie said with a smile
"All of this was you?" She asked looking at Sidney
"With the help of everyone here yes" he said. She was completely speechless as she looked around
"I just. Wow" she said wiping her eyes again
"We aren't done, we are heading to the Jim Beam suite for dinner" Sidney said wrapping his arm around her waist
"This is why you wore that suit?"
"Yes" he said with a smile
"There was no meeting?"
"No" he chuckled
"For you either?" She asked her mom
"Nope" she said with a smile.
"Oh my gosh" she said, she covered her face as a few people giggled
"Come on guys let's give them a few moments alone" Mario said winking at his daughter, as everyone piled off the ice and towards the elevator Sidney looked at Madison, he slipped his other arm around her and pulled her into a hug
"You look so beautiful" he said she smiled and took in his cologne
"Sid" she whispered
"Hmm"
"Where engaged?"
"Yes. You are soon to be Mrs. Crosby" he said, she smiled
"I love that" she said with a smile, Sidney smiled "I can't believe you got both of our family's involved, and my best friend, and did all of this! From this morning to now"
"You are worth it all and more babe, you are literally my heart and soul, I wanted this to be very special for you" he said
"This was more than I ever expected. I just expected you to pop the question at a restaurant or something like most people, not plan a fulls days of activities and then this" she said, Sidney smiled.
"So you knew I was gonna pop the question?" He asked
"Well I was hoping one day you would" she said with a smile
"I love you" he said she smiled and kissed him "did you even look at your ring?"
"No actually" she said pulling her hand to her face, she gasped and wiped away a few tears "Sid"
"I was hoping you would love it" he said she giggled and pulled him to her to kiss him again
"Wow" she said staring at it, he smiled, and kissed the top of her head
"Let's go eat, and spend time with everyone so I can get you home fiancé" he said she smiled

"get use to it you will be hearing it a lot" he said taking her hand. She smiled and followed him towards the elevator.
