Seven
After hours of hanging out, everyone started to leave. At 10pm the house was completely empty and Madison was in the kitchen cleaning while Sidney was outside shutting everything down.
"Today was fun" he said walking in
"It was, it's nice to have both of our families here" she said with a smile
"And soon you graduate and you will be here forever" he said kissing her neck.
"I can't wait" she said softly
"You know you don't have to work right?" He asked. She stopped what she was doing and looked at him.
"I need to work"
"Why? What's mine is yours"
"Because I need something to do while your away and Sidney this is your money you worked hard for it" she said
"Like I said, once you take my last name, what's mine is yours" he said drying off dishes, she sighed "what Maddy?"
"I just need to make my own money"
"And I want my wife home when I'm home" he said, she looked at him
"A job doesn't work that way"
"Then do part time that's like 2 days a week, Vero's job works around Marc's schedule" he said "plus I want to start a family right after were married"
"Why can't we wait?"
"Why would you want to wait?"
"Because I want to be married for awhile" she said, Sidney set the towel down "why do you want to start a family so fast?"
"Because I want a family with you" he said, she turned the water off.
"I don't know"
"Well this is something we need to discuss before we get married"
"Sidney we just got engaged yesterday, let's enjoy this before we start busting out wedding plans let alone family plans"
"Alright fine" he said walking out of the kitchen, she sighed and looked at the empty doorway. Why was he in such a hurry for everything? That wasn't like him. She wanted to take things slow which was more of the Sidney Crosby method.
"Sid" she said walking into the dim lit bedroom
"Hmm"
"Don't go to bed mad please"
"I'm not mad, did you lock everything and set the alarm?"
"Yes"
"Turn the lights off?"
"Yes" she said crawling in bed, she wrapped her arms around his warm body "talk to me" she said kissing his back. He sighed and rolled over to face her
"What?"
"What's wrong? Why are you in such a hurry?"
"Because I love you Maddy, I want to start my life with you right now. I can't wait to see you walk down the isle, for you to take my last name, to see you pregnant, to feel our baby kick from inside of you, to be there when you deliver, I can't wait to have a family with you, I just want it all now" he said, she smiled and kissed his nose
"It will happen sweetheart, with time" she said
"I know"
"Let's get me graduated and moved, let's get through our wedding and honeymoon and then we can see about a family" she said
"Ok" he said quietly
"But until then....we can practice making those beautiful Crosby babies" she said, Sidney chuckled and kissed her
"I won't argue with that"

"Hello"
"Hi, when are you coming home?" She asked sitting on the couch
"I don't know why?"
"Taylor, Chelsea and Lauren are here and we were gonna go shopping and go to lunch"
"Ok, go ahead baby"
"If your coming home soon I'll stay" she said, Sidney chuckled
"No I'll stay and skate longer, go have fun"
"You sure?"
"Yes. I'll see you tonight"
"Ok I love you" she said
"Love you too" he replied "bye baby"
"Bye" she said hanging up
"What he say?" Taylor asked walking into the living room
"He is just going to stay at skate longer" she said with a smile
"Alright let's go I'm starving" Lauren said heading towards the door
"I can't believe in a few months your going to be living here" Chelsea said as Madison locked up, she shrugged and got into the range rover. Sidney normally took his car to the rink while Madison was in town so she could have the bigger vehicle to have room to do whatever she wanted.
"So have you talked about a wedding date yet?" Taylor asked from the back seat
"No but we talked about babies" she said
"Wait what?" Chelsea asked. Madison nodded and looked into her mirrors to check traffic, she got comfortable and looked at her best friend
"He wants to start a family as soon as we get married"
"Why?"
"I don't know"
"What about his career?" Lauren asked
"Babies won't hurt his career" Taylor said
"You Lemieux's are walking proof of that" Chelsea said
"I told him I wanted to be married for a while and he didn't like that too much"
"Aww Sidney wants to be a daddy" Taylor said with a smile
"And I can't wait for him to be a daddy but he needs to be patient"
"Practice makes perfect" Chelsea said with a smile, Madison grinned
"I told him we can practice all he wants"
"Alright that's enough" Taylor said getting grossed out, the girls chuckled
"Once I get back to school I'm gonna start figuring things out. He wants me to move right after graduation, But I don't even think I'm gonna walk, I already walked in one graduation" she said
"Your gonna leave me" Taylor said with a frown
"Ya to practice making babies with your brother" Lauren joked, Taylor made a face and the car got silent.
Once at restaurant the girls ordered and sipped on wine, while talking about the hockey season and cute guys. Madison looked at her phone that was buzzing on the table and smiled seeing Sidney's name and face pop up
"Hey sweetheart"
"It's dad "
"Oh, hi daddy" she said confused
"I don't want to alarm you but we are taking Sidney to the doctor at he medical center"
"What why?"
"He is having concussion symptoms"
"Concussion symptoms? From 2012?"
"we aren't sure sweetie, can you swing by consol and get his car"
"well ya, but I want to come up there"
"That's fine too, were getting him ready now"
"Ok we are paying and leaving! Daddy keep a eye on him please?" she said hanging up
"What happened?" Taylor asked
"Excuse me can we get the check?"
"Together or separate?"
"Together" she said, she looked at the girls who were waiting for answers
"Maddy?"
"They are taking Sidney to the medical center he is having concussion symptoms again" she said frantically trying to find the credit card Sidney gave her, once she found it she slipped it in the black sleeve and handed it to the waiter, the girls boxed their food up as once the bill was brought back she tipped and signed it and was out the door, the girls following close behind
"Is he ok?" Chelsea asked, Madison shrugged. It was the first words anyone had spoken since the restaurant.

"Hi"
"Sidney, are you ok?"
"Yes babe I'm fine, was just feeling dizzy and sharp pains in the back of my head and neck" he said "it's just for precaution"
"Oh my gosh" she breathed
"I just wanted to tell you to calm down, I know your probably in a frantic" he said, she chuckled lightly
"I am"
"Just take a deep breath, get the car, have Taylor drive it home and I'll see you when you get here ok?"
"Ok"
"Maddy?"
"What?"
"I love you"
"I love you too sid"
"I will see you in a little bit"
"Alright bye" she said hanging up, she pulled into consol and handed Taylor the extra keys
"I'll ride with you" Lauren said, Taylor nodded and jumped out of the car. Madison waited until Taylor was ready before leaving. Once at the house the girls got back in the ranger rover and headed to the medical center downtown. When they arrived Troy was outside on the phone
"I have to go my daughter and daughter in law are here" he said, he nodded a few times and hung up before hugging Taylor
"What's going on?" Madison asked
"He is getting a cat scan now, come on" he said turning to the building "you need a pass" he said pointing to Madison "hi there, I'm Sidney Crosby's dad, I was told when she got here she needed to get a pass"
"The fiancé?" The older woman asked Madison nodded her head "I just need your drivers license" she said, Madison dug through her purse and pulled out the rectangle plastic card before handing it over, the lady walked to the copy machine and a few minutes later handed over the license and a pass
"Thank you"
"No problem"
"Alight lets go dad" Taylor said. Troy nodded and walked the girls down the long white hallway, he stopped at a elevator and pressed the up button. Madison looked around her, hospitals always freaked her out. When she heard the ding she focused her attention to the box in front of her. She followed behind Troy and stayed quiet the short ride to the 7th floor. When they stepped out they made an immediate left and walked down another hallway before making a right. Last time she was here it had been for Sidney when he took a puck to the mouth and he had stayed for almost a week before being sent home. They walked to a room and Troy opened the door. Inside was a waiting room with Trina, Beau, Marc, Kris, Geno, Mario, and Nathalie
"Hi guys" Nathalie said standing up, everyone stood up and took her daughter in her arms "He is going to be ok sweetie"
"What happened? Did he fall?" She asked
"No, we were practicing and he started to feel dizzy" Marc added
"He was complaining about a bad headache this morning" Kris said
"Medical staff with the team just think it's late symptoms of a hit he possibly could have taken that resulted in a concussion we didn't know about" Mario said
"But bring him here for closer look" Geno added
"Here come sit down" Trina said leading her to a couch "he should be done with the cat scan soon. As everyone started to talk, she leaned back and played with her ring. So many emotional thoughts going through her head.
"There's the doctor" Troy said standing up. Mario and Trina stood up as Madison stayed seated, she leaned forward
"Madison?" The doctor asked
"Yea?"
"He would like to see you" he said, she stood up "room 743" the doctor said pointing to the hall behind him, she nodded and began to walk down the hall way, she slowly opened the door to see him sitting on the side with his legs hanging off, he looked up and smiled
"Hey"
"Sid" she said, and with seconds her arms where around him
"It's ok" he chuckled, she pulled back a little and looked at him
"What is it?" She asked
"Late concussion symptoms, I just need to take it easy for a few weeks" he said with a shrug
"You don't know how to take it easy"
"That's true" he said with a smile "but while I was in the scan, I was thinking about what I was going to do if I was out for a few weeks"
"Oh?"
"You leave in 4 days so I'm going to come to Boston with you"
"What? Really?" She asked with a smile, he nodded his head and kissed the top of her hand
"Ya, it's so hard to say goodbye to you but now that we are officially engaged. I never want to say goodbye anymore" he said
"Awww Sidney" she said leaning her forehead on his

"I love you too, do you get to go home?"
"Yes when the papers are signed, you can go tell everyone they can come back here now, I just wanted to see you first" he said, she smiled before walking out.
