If I Lose.

Thirty one

Three months later

I sat at the edge of a field, starting at the clouds and my back rested against a tree. The breeze was nice as I watched the clouds move, the trees rustle and the woman walking up to me. My eyebrows creased together as I watched myself walk up to me, she wore the suit I had made but never tried and her hair was in a messy bun. I watched as she raised her hand and the light started to emit from it, but soon she lowered it and kneeled down to my level.

Her eyes gazed over my body, taking in everything as I sat silently. "So you don't remember, is that why your hear?" She, well I asked myself. I watched her and slowly nodded, but what didn't I remember that she needed to remind me of.

"What is missing?" I asked, not really thinking about the words that left my mouth; she stood up right and stared down at me. Behind her stood everyone, from Steve to Pietro all in a row. She held out her hand to them and looked at me.

"What do you crave for the most when you look at them?" I stood and stared at them, each and every single one of them staring back at me as if they were forced to stay there. My foot started to move and I stood in front if Steve, his eyes staring a head of him as if I wasn't even there.

My hand reached out to touch his cheek but his hand softly stopped me, "You forgot, everything we had together. You forgot it all." I wrapped my hand around his and I looked back to myself, but she was gone along with everyone else. It was just Steve and I, alone in the field.

Looking back at him he held a smile on his face, the surrounding changed and we were in stark tower. Soft music played in the background as he moved my body with his, a small smile came to my lips as I rest my head on his shoulder. His hand on my waist softly touching my skin sending shivers up my spine, "This was our first dance." He whispered into my ear as the surroundings changed once more.

This time we were one a bed and he was hovered over me, his legs between mine and his hands clasped against my own. His lips slowly touched my own and he pulled away softly "This was our last dance."

My eyes opened softly to the dull muffled sound of the alarm, it took me a minute to register that it was the building alarm and something was wrong. I quickly jumped out of my bed and headed for the door, it was locked. I had forgotten in a lock down everything was locked down, quickly I grabbed my phone and called Tony only to get his voicemail. Natasha and Clint didn't have a phone and neither did Bruce, quickly I dialed down to Steve and pressed call.

It rang for few second before he answered.

"Steve, the building alarm is going off. Tony won't answer and I'm locked in my room," I spoke in a rush and I heard him start moving in the background. "Steve?" I spoke into the phone and all I heard was his heavy fast breathing in the background. "What are you- are you running here?"

"Yup, stay on the phone." He spoke the best he could as I smiled softly.

"Steve, your like 45 minutes out of the city," I muttered.

"Yup, but I'm a super soldier."

"But your 45 minutes out of the city, running towards the city, Steve." I responded while looking around my room.

"Would you like me to stop, Amy?" He sounded as if he was now walking and I shook my head, not like he could see it.

"No, keep going. I'm only locked in my room with the alarm blaring, did you just steal a car?" I heard the sound of a car starting.

"Borrowed."

I couldn't help but to laugh at the fact of Steve admiring he just stole a car, to thing star spangled banner could steal something rather then a lollipop. I hears Steve sigh in the background as he was weaving through cars and running red lights, possible almost causing accidents and had three cops following him. He probably started a high speed chase, I let out a loud laugh.

"What's so funny at this point in time?" He asked as I heard him come to a stop.

"Thinking about how you probably started a car chase with three cop cars," I sat on my bed.

"Four, four cop cars. I'm here." He went silent and the phone cut off, I couldn't help but to stare at the phone confused. He turned a 45 minute trip into a 20 minute trip, leaning back I look up at the white ceiling and sighed.

My door being ripped off the hinges is what made me jump and scream, but seeing Steve at the other side calmed me down. He had his shield, wore a black shirt with blue jeans and boots, his hair was a bit if a mess as well. He gave me a once over before grabbing me and flipping me over his shoulder, I let out a small yelp as we walked through the building.

"I do know how to walk." I muttered and I rested my embows into his back to keep my head up, but he ignored me. I guess I wasn't allowed to walk at this moment. "Okay, well on to the next subject." I waited for a response and when I didn't get one I continued, "I had this weird dream, about you." He stood walking and I felt myself being out on the ground.

His eyes searched me for something but I couldn't tell what, "How did it start?" His voice was low as he stared me down.

"I was leaning against a tree in a field, I version of myself came up to me and mention that I was basically there to remember." I looked around us as the alarm continued, "You an I, we danced and you said it was our first dance-"

"The main hall of the Stark tower, lights were dimmed and I touched your back causing you to shiver." I opened my mouth as he said that, as if he was actually there.

"Yeah, then our last dance." I felt the blush come to my face, "In a bed room and the ceiling was covered in stars, it was beautiful." I gazed out slightly as I thought of it but soon came back to reality as I notices Steve blushing as if he knew exactly what happened that night.

It wasn't long before the alarms stopped and Tony was running down the hallway, he stopped shirt when he saw Steve and I standing there staring at each other. My eyes narrowed "Why the alarm?" He rubbed the back of his neck as he motioned for us to follow.

"So I had veronica scanning her brain waves 24/7, so if anything spiked when we weren't around; she would set off an alarm." Tony spoke to the group who were staring at me as if I was from another planet. "Didn't think the alarm would have been so loud, its been a total of four months since.... And this is the first brain activity."

Natasha leaned back in the chair and crossed her legs, "So your saying?" She looked over to me and then Tony.

"It wasnt permanent."
