Smiley Face

Things were rather hectic after that. The process of getting all of our things together and leaving Happy's mothers house. She was disappointed that we had to leave so soon; and I didn't want to leave since we hadn't gotten to spend any time together.

The ride back to Charming from Happy's mother definitely went by faster than the ride out of Charming.

Though, based off of the look of the club when we arrived back, I wish we would've just stayed at his mothers. The entire club was trashed.

"What the hell happened here?" I gasped upon seeing the state of the club. Happy was walking along behind me as we walked into the bar. Juice was in the middle of the room, with a broom. Sweeping up broken glass and picking chairs up off of the floor. "Hap, Jax is waiting for you in the chapel." Juice spoke upon seeing the man standing behind me.

Saying nothing, Happy simply nodded his head before walking away. My attention stayed focused on Juice. His sole focus was on cleaning up the mess that was the bar.

"Juice, what happened while we were gone?" I made a point to emphasize that my question was aimed towards him. When he looked up at me now, his eyes had gone wide- like he had been caught doing something that he shouldn't have been doing. "I mean, it's really not my place to say. Happy will tell you." That was all he said before going back to work, and ignoring my presence.

I couldn't help but let that simple act fuel rage inside of me; but it also told me the only thing that I needed to know. That whatever had happened in the bar, the reason that it was trashed- it was because of me. It's my fault.

Feeling horrible about things, I sat myself down on one of the bar stools and began thinking things over. Did my dad and Aaron find out where I was? Did they come to Charming- if so, are they still here? Has all of this happened because of me? What if Tara and the boys had been here when this happen; oh my gosh, had they been here? They could've gotten hurt! I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I were the cause of something that got one of those precious boys injured. I would hate myself if that happened.

While I was sitting at the bar, Bobby came walking into the club with Chibs walking along behind him. "Bobby." I spoke up, catching the mans attention. His eyes snapped over to me before he came bounding over- Chibs too.

Bobby was quick to pull me off of the bar stool, and into his arms. "Bobby, what the hell happened? No one is telling me anything!" I asked as soon as I pulled out of his arms. He and Chibs exchanged looks and nodded at one another before I heard Bobby take a deep breath. "Some guys came in the middle of the night a trashed the club while none of us were here. It wasn't your dad who did it, but we think that maybe that's who hired them to do it." Bobby explained to me.

As he finished speaking, the chapel doors opened and Happy came walking out of the room with Jax. Jax looked more worried than anything, while Happy looked extremely angry. Of course Jax probably gave him more details about what had happened than Bobby had given me- which was understandable. Stepping forward, I opened my mouth to speak but nothing came out. I was literally speechless.

I went to place my hands on Happy's chest, but before I could touch him he reached out and grabbed my hand. Saying nothing, he turned and lead me through the bar and down the hallway. I could see that the apartments which doors were open, that they seemed like they hadn't been touched. All except for our own. That looked like a tornado had torn through the room. So it wasn't just the bar that had been trashed.

Happy made me sit down on the edge of the bed, and he stayed standing. Towering above me, he stood between my legs with his hands cupping the sides of my face lightly. There was a look in his eyes that I had never seen before. He looked, well, worried. I had never seen him looking this way. "I don't want you thinking that this is your fault." His voice was soft as he spoke. "How can I not? They came here looking for me, didn't they?" I couldn't help but find myself scoffing at the sound of his words.

The worried look on his face mostly wiped away and replaced with a bit of anger. Not enough that worried me, but I definitely noticed it in his face. "No, Teagan, they didn't come here looking for you. This was some random, bullshit punks. This had nothing to do with you."

Jax's POV

"So, do you think he's going to tell her the truth- about the note I mean." Chibs asked, standing next to me at the bar. I had barely even noticed him standing there, my eyes had been glued onto Teagan as Happy lead her down the hallway. What would he end up telling her happened; how much would it differ from what actually happened? If he lies to her, and she finds out the truth eventually, how was that going to effect them?

I hadn't really known Teagan for too long, but I did worry about the girl after finding out what all had really happened to her. I also worried about Happy. I'd never seen him grow so attached to, well, anyone. The only person I had ever know him to care for this way was his mother; and that's just because, obviously, it's his mom.

"Probably not. He doesn't want her freaking out anymore than she already is." Shaking my head, I pulled my pack of cigarettes from my pocket. I had cut down recently- trying not to smoke around the boys- but after last night I definitely deserved a few.

We weren't entirely sure that whoever trashed the club house were here because of Teagan's father; but it did have to do with her. The clubhouse, and all the apartments had been trashed. Plus, whoever it was left a manila envelope on the table in the chapel. It included all the police reports and pictures of hospital visits that we had pulled of Teagan. It also included some kind of cryptic note. So, we were all definitely worried about the girl.

"Chibs, Bobby, get Tacoma down here. We're going on lockdown." I decided. The fate of the club might not be at stake; but one of our family members was in trouble. We're going to do everything that we can to keep her safe.
