Just Dance

Thinkin' 'Bout You

Lola

I had gotten back home from rehearsing with Dana and I couldn't help but think about that 'CJ' guy. He looks pretty familiar but Dana told me to stay away.

She said she's seen how he is with women. He'll get what he wants then he'll leave. "A typical man," she said. Then she started to lecture me on how important it was to find a good man and how there's plenty of fish in the sea.

Dana's always been like that. The over-protective, mamma bear type. Even with her being 2 years my senior, she always felt like she had to protect me in our younger years as well as our adult lives.

But my mind kept wandering back to CJ. He had a strong jaw line, a nice tan, trusting eyes, and they way he grasped my wrist made me feel safe but also full of fear of his strength.

Maybe Dana's wrong. Maybe there's more of him that meets the eye...

CJ

Will and I were at 1Oak tonight. The music was good, the beer was better, and the girls were even hotter. But something, or someone was missing. I couldn't help but think about 'L'.

I tried to think of names that start with an 'L' but it's harder than you think. I've thought of Lilly, Lorraine, Linette and then I got stumped. But it started with an 'L'.

No girl has ever have this effect on me. To put me in a trance and leave me clueless is something girls strive for when they're with me. They're lucky enough if I even remember their names.

"Hey, CJ," Will snapped his fingers in front of me. "You're not still thinking about that girl are you?" He asked me for what seemed to be the eleventh time today.

I didn't respond, just a swig of my beer. He sighed, "You really need to stop thinking about her," he said while holding the waist of a random girl grinding on him. "You're probably never going to see her again."

He's right. I'm probably never going to see her again so why waste my time?

"Hey, beautiful," A girl turned around. "Wanna dance?" I asked as I flashed my smile. She nodded and it was time to take my mind off a girl that I could never get.
