'The Desire'

I've been walking amongst the mortals of this world for over thousand years. It has been a long journey to come to one point in my life where my fate calling me. I knew what I had to do. This is my story......
My name is Star I'm may come across like your typical 18 year old teenage girl. In fact I'm actually 1050 years old.
Not long after I was born my parents were killed. A massacre that occurred in our village by coven of witches looking for unum praeditos. This roughly translated into English means the gifted one. I was saved by a witch called Alana she could hear the screams from her village nearby. She had found me crying in my crib as my whole family were all slaughtered. Alana couldn't leave me behind knowing what they may do to me so she brought back to her home. Alana brought me up as if I was her own child. As I got older she began to teach me magic which came naturally to me. Even at times I would amaze Alana with my talent as for someone so young I was capable of magic of an elder. Things changed on the day of my 18th birthday.
The day I turned 18 years old Alana had told me that I was the unum praeditos. I was the reason why my parents were killed that my whole village was massacred. When Alana told me about my true purpose of my existence. Was to destroy the greater evil that was going to rise. That will bring the destruction to the world we live in. I didn't deal with the information too well. I was young woman who had just turned 18 years old. How was I meant to beat something that was so evil? Alana tried to calm me down but I didn't want any of this. I never wanted to be a unum praeditos. I never chose any of this. That very night I ran away I didn't want the responsibility that laid on me I just kept running. I didn't know where I was going. The only one thing I did know is that I didn't want to be any part of any of this.
Decades went by and I hadn't aged a day from my 18th birthday. In theory I should have had the appearance of a woman in her late forty's. I didn't know if this had anything to do with the fact I was unum praeditos. So not to let people notice that I didn't age I moved to the new world. I had been told it would be safer place than the old. Even in the new world I kept moving. I would never let anyone get close to me. I wouldn't allow it I was too frighten that they would find out what truly I'm. Use me as some kind poly to defeat this evil that was coming.
Many centuries went by while I spent a lonely life as witches began to sense I was different. Now walking amongst the mortals were a new breed called vampires. They took the lives of innocent by draining them of their blood to satisfied their thirst. I didn't know if this was the evil that Alana spoke of. I would never find out now as she had die many years ago.
The world was changing and I had to adapt to it all. I did get frown upon as when I would move into a new town as I was a young lady on her own. They would ask me where my parents were. Each and every time it pained me to speak of them. I would inform them I was an orphan. In 1490 I had moved over to England where there seem to be more hope for survival. As word of the unum praeditos was getting around in the supernatural world. When moving to England it felt more like home I settled in very comfortably. I had even made friends too for the first time in 500 years I actually felt like I had found a home.
I had a very close friend called Bethany she was a witch. I hadn't trusted anyone for a very long time but there was something about Bethany that I felt I could trust her. My feeling was right she had been helping find out what was the purpose of the unum praeditos. She would speak to people on the other side to try and get information. The only message she would receive from them is that this greater evil will rise in the new millennium. That I should be careful around any form of supernatural creatures. As they will find out what I'm and use me to their advantage.
Bethany had told me I needed to enjoy life more I had been a hermit for the last 500 years. I should mix with more people. Well this wasn't something that easy for me. One evening we were invited to a ball. A lord's was having this ball as it was his birthday. He and his family had just moved into the town I was aware that the whole town was going. Of course Bethany had convinced me to go much to my protest. That evening we went to the ball that's when I met Lord Nicklaus. He was the most stunning man I had ever seen in the last 500 years. I had never seen a man to have such beauty. The whole evening he had woo me with his charm. No man had ever man me feel like this there was something about him that attracted me to him.
From that one single night a relationship grew between Niklaus and I we were inseparable. He had introduced me to members of his family his older brother Elijah, his sister Rebekah. They were extremely friendly people I don't know why I had stopped myself to getting close to anyone. For the first time in a very long time I felt part of a family. Even with all of that going so well my friendship with Bethany had been destroyed. She thought there was something dark about Niklaus and his family. We would constantly argue about it as I refused to believe anything that Bethany telling me.
I had moved from my home and moved into the castle with Nicklaus and his family. Everything was all falling into place for once in my life. The connection that Niklaus and I had was something I thought I would never have. Within 6 months Niklaus and I were married. I really never thought I could ever be this happy. I was Lady Star Mikaelson it was the happiest day of my existence. But things began to change once we were married. Niklaus became more distance with me. At times he never used to come to bed. He kept on having secret meeting with these unknown people. I would question Elijah about it all but he would tell me that Niklaus had duties to attend to. Every time I spoke to Elijah he made me feel more at ease about the situation. For two years things never changed I had grown tired of Niklaus ways. I wanted to leave and I had tried on many occasions. Somehow Niklaus would always win me over with his charm. For a few days things would be back to how they once was when we first met. Where he would treat me as I was the most important person in his world.
Like every year Niklaus threw a ball in honour of his birthday. Tonight I had to portray the happy wife in front of the whole town. I was looking for Niklaus throughout the castle I couldn't find him anywhere. This had become something I've gotten used to. I made my way to his private quarters on west side of the castle. I approached the door and it was slightly opened I could hear him talking to someone. I didn't want to disturb him.
"Niklaus, the doppelgänger has arrived as you expected" I heard Elijah tell him, what a doppelgänger?
"Well brother it appears that I can get this awful curse off me once and for all and become a true hybrid" Niklaus spoke with triumph in his voice. I put my hand over my mouth to stop myself from screaming.
"What of star? She becoming very suspicious. I don't think she believing my lies anymore brother. You will not allow me to compel her" What is going on here? What have they been lying to me about? Elijah wanted to compel me? But how? How could he do that? So many question filled my mind.
"Don't worry about Star. For or last two years I've hidden the fact we are vampires" I couldn't help but gasped. I couldn't believe what I was hearing I had been fooled all this time. Bethany had been telling the truth about them all. I turned my back on her because I was fool "Star" I heard Niklaus call out. Oh my god I took in a deep breath. I opened the door and smiled "Oh there my beautiful wife" Niklaus said while approaching me. I was trying to keep my heart rate under control. I didn't want him to know I had heard everything.
"Niklaus I do apologies for disturbing you both. I came to see if you wanted to accompany me into town" This was a total lie but it was the only thing I could think of. I knew he would refuse to come Niklaus didn't like to get about much. Now I know why.
"Well unfortunately I'm rather busy Star. Why don't you ask Rebekah to accompany you" I gave him smile. No way was I going anywhere near Rebekah or any of them again. I needed to get away from here.
"I will Niklaus. I shall see you both at the ball" I turned away from them both and made my way out of the room. I walked steady down the hallway as I got to the stair case. I ran down I ran as fast as I could to get out of the castle.
I continued to run through fields trying to get away from them. How could I been so stupid to have fallen in love with a vampire. What did he mean about a curse and turning into a hybrid? There was only one person who could help me. I hoped she doesn't turn her back on me. I had finally reached Bethany home and I began to bang on her door. The door suddenly opened and there stood Bethany looking at me stunned.
"You were right Bethany. Niklaus and his family are spurned from evil." I was to frighten to say it out loud but I had to. "They are vampires" I could just about talk as I was out of breathe from running. She looked at me with concern and ushered me into her home.
"Did anyone follow you here?" She asked panicking. I didn't not want to bring any harm to her I needed her help.
"No, well I think not" She brought me into the kitchen and sat me down. I couldn't stop trembling "Bethany I'm sorry that ...." I began to say but she stopped me from talking.
"Star you have nothing to apologies about. Sometimes love blinds you" How could she be so calm with me "Star we have to find a way to get you away from Niklaus and his family. They can not know of what your are" She began to search though her books. I knew she was right I couldn't stay there longer. How could I walk away from Niklaus. Even though I knew of what he was a monster a creature people feared. I still loved him the same as I have done for last two years.
Klaus P.O.V
I had been searching for centuries for the doppelgänger to appear. I have travelled all over the world with my family to find her. So I could break this curse that I had put upon me. In 1490 we have moved to England my family and I made a home here. My life drastically changed in one night. We threw a ball in honour of my 'birthday' this was a way for us to introduce ourselves to the local. It was Elijah idea of wanted to meet them. Mine was to have a good freest on some British blood. Well what I didn't expect to happen that night to me in my life time was to fall in love.
That night I was introduced to the most beautiful creature I've ever seen in my existence. A young lady called Star she literally blinded me with her beauty and her charm too. I knew I couldn't be without her there was something Star that changed me. Within 6 month we were married. Star meant to world to me nothing else seemed important to me anymore. All that mattered was to see that beautiful smile upon her face. This changed as soon as heard news of the doppelgänger. I could finally have this curse removed. I began to become fully focus on finding the doppelgänger. With that I began to neglect Star it was not intentional but I could see the hurt in her eyes as we distant apart. I tried to reassure her that she still was important to me that I would try my best to not neglect her. Even Elijah had spoken to her too and he had convinced her that I had duties to attend to.
Tonight we were throwing another one of those balls in honour of my birthday. Tonight ball was very different from other balls we had held. There would be a special lady attending called Katherine Pierce or should I say Katarina Petrova. The doppelgänger that I have been waiting for centuries. Elijah and I were discussing the details of tonight's events. I suddenly felt the sense Star presents. She walked into the room until this day I couldn't believe how lucky I truly was to have her.
"Oh there my beautiful wife" I began to approaching her. I notice she was behaving a little strange. I hope she did not hear anything of what Elijah and I spoke about.
"Niklaus I do apologies for disturbing you both but I came to see if you wanted to accompany me into town" I would love to accompany her as I knew she was feeling lonely once again. I had keep focus on how I was going to lure the doppelganger.
"Well unfortunately I'm rather busy Star. Why don't you ask Rebekah to accompany you" she began to smile at me. I knew she would understand that was what I adore about her.
"I will Niklaus. I shall see you both at the ball" she turned away from us both and made my way out of the room.
"Do you suspect she heard anything?" Elijah spoke with slight panic in his voice. My brother had grown fond of Star. He had seen that she had brought back something that he thought would never happen. My humanity.
"No fear brother. Star didn't suspect a thing" If Star would have I would of notice. I didn't need him to worry about Star I needed him to focus on Katherine.
The evening came and the guest were arriving I kept on looking for Katherine she hadn't appeared yet. I was becoming quite anxious of course Elijah kept assuring me that she will turn up. I went into my bedroom chamber to calm myself down as I knew my temper was about to erupt. I walked into room as Star was getting ready. She had such natural beauty she looked beautiful in anything she wore.
"The guests are here" I announce as I approached her. She turned around and looked a little startled.
"Niklaus....I'll be down in a few moments. I do apologies I'm not quite feeling myself" I walked over to her and she did look rather pale.
"Take your time sweetheart" I kissed her gently on her lips. Then pulled away and smiled at her "I'll see to our guest" I kissed her on the forehead and walked out of the chamber.
I made my way down the stairs and I notice Elijah talking to a very pretty young brunette. I knew who she was I made my way through the crowned and approached them both.
"Niklaus, I would like to introduce you to..." the young lady curtsy I smiled at her.
"My lord, Katherine Pierce" Well it appears Elijah was right she did come. I'm finally face to face with the doppelgänger I will finally become the hybrid that I was meant to be.
Katherine was a very flirtatious lady I kept my composure. As I knew that Star would be coming down any moment and I didn't want to upset her. The evening was going pleasantly well everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. I had notice that Star hadn't come down yet. I made my way up to our bedroom chamber and I opened the door. I saw Star lifeless body on the floor I rushed over. She was not breathing she was cold to the touch. I bit into my write and began to feed her my blood but it was over flowing out of her mouth. I began to listen out for her heart it was not beating. No, no, this couldn't be happening. Star couldn't be dead.
"NOOOOOOOO" I couldn't believe it my Star was dead. I head her tightly in arms as I sobbed I couldn't live without her. How could this of happened? I should of never left her alone I should of stayed.
"Niklaus" I heard Elijah say from behind me. Suddenly he was crouched down beside me "What has happened to Star?" I looked up at him my vision felt glazed as tears began to fill up in my eyes.
"She dead" I couldn't believe those words pass my lips. Star was never meant to die I was going to tell her what I was. I was wanting to turn her so we could live an eternity together now. Now I would have to live eternity alone without my Star how was I ever meant to do that.
Star P.O.V
I woke up gasping for air I opened my eyes and I was in total darkness. I couldn't believe it this actually worked! I pushed against the coffin lid and it wouldn't open I began to panic. I banged against the lid of the coffin in hope that it would open. Suddenly it opened someone stood above me with a torch in there hand.
"Good evening madam. I'm here to take you the port" he extended his hand and helps me out of the grave. I looked around notice I was on Niklaus grounds. He must of buried me here but how long had I been in that grave!
"How long was I down there for?" I was panicking as I just wanted to get away. If Niklaus or his siblings were to see me my life would be over.
"Of course Madam. Miss Bethany told me to come after three days" Three days? I had been dead for three days? "Madam we needed to be leaving. The ship is due to leave" I nodded and we walked towards to the horse and carriage. I got in and sat down I looked out of the window as we pass through the town. I was leaving the life I had created here. I was leaving everything behind even Niklaus he couldn't never know that I'm alive. I'm doing the right thing I can't let myself get involved in the supernatural creatures. I was warned by the spirits. No matter what my heart is telling me I have to walk away.
