"Hi" Sidney said walking towards the hot tub, Leilani looked up and smiled.
"Hi"
"Beer?" He asked holding up a corona with salt and a lime
"Sure" she said. He put his towel down and removed his shirt before handing her the beer and stepping in
"Oh sorry" he said splashing her, she smiled and wiped her face
"It's ok" she said with a smile, she took the drink and rested her head on the cushioned back. "It's really peaceful out here" she said looking at the stars
"It really is, it's not home but I like it"
"Home?"
"Ya I'm from Nova Scotia.....in canada" he said
"Oh cold" she said, Sidney chuckled
"Definitely not like the weather in Hawaii, you ever been?"
"To canada? Ya a few times" she said "Quebec, Ottawa, and Toronto.....too cold for me"
"So your a surfer girl huh?"
"Born and raised" she said "I think I knew how to surf before I knew how to walk.....probably like you and your hockey" she said, Sidney smiled and nodded his head
"Exactly like me and hockey. Mario said you are a world champion?"
"oh did he now?"
"he is really proud of you" Sidney said with a smile, she smiled and sighed lightly
"I was. 4 years in a row. 18-21" she said with a shrug
"You have me beat" he said, she looked at him confused "I'm a stanly cup champion, an Olympic gold medalist but I'm not a world champion" he said with a smile. She looked at him before wiping the sweat from her forehead "I've also never surfed before"
"I've never played hockey before"
"Have you skated?"
"ice skating? like once when I was little"
"You'll have to come to the rink with me while your here" he said, she looked in his eyes and nodded, quickly looking away she cleared her throat
"I would like that"
"But only if you promise to teach me how to surf" he said, she looked back at him
"I can do that, but that would mean you would have to come to Hawaii" she said, Sidney chuckled.
"I think I can work a vacation into my schedule" he said, she smiled and finished her beer.
"Want another one?" She asked standing up
"Sure" he said, he watched her get out of the hot tub and walk to the outside bar. "What's your tattoo mean?" He asked
"Which one?"
"well how many do you have?" He asked as she handed him a beer
"4" she said getting into the water
"The one on your side? I dare you to love me?"
"It's a shinedown song. I dare you. It was my dad's favorite song, I added the 'to love me' part. The heart with the infinity on my wrist is for my dad, the 3 stars behind my ear is for my 3 friends I lost at the pipeline and the cross on my foot is a copy of the cross my grandparents gave me which snapped in half when I was surfing a competition at Jeffery's bay in South Africa" she said, Sidney stared at her not saying anything "what?"
"Nothing" he said with a smile
"Mario this could be bad" Nathalie said looking out the window
"He is a good kid"
"I know but she is leaving" Nathalie said, Mario nodded and rested his hands on her shoulders
"Let them decide, there is a connection there"
"Lauren is going to be upset"
"She needs to realize it's not going to happen" Mario said
"Do we go out there?"
"No let's just let them be" he said with a smile.

"Wow it's already 2am" Sidney said looking at his watch
"Is it really?" She asked
"Ya" he said standing up, she frowned and stood up too.
"Guess it's time to call it a night" she said softly
"Ya, tonight was umm....it was nice" he said, she smiled and nodded
"It was, and I guess I will see you around" she said, Sidney nodded and handed her, her towel. "Do you want to maybe take my number down?" She asked, Sidney smiled "I mean..."
"Yes I would like that" he said walking to his phone, she told him his number and he made sure he saved it before looking at her
"Sid" Taylor said walking out "sorry to interrupt but are you ready?"
"Oh ya, sorry it's so late"
"It's ok" she said with a smile
"So I'll text you later and we can get together and go skating" he said
"I would like that" she said wrapping her towel around her, Sidney smiled and walked inside. Leilani turned and looked at the pool. She picked up the bottles and walked in.
"I'll lock up" Austin said
"Your still up?"
"Ya I was seeing how long you would be" he said with a smile. She playfully rolled her eyes and walked up the stairs.
"He's cute isn't he?" Leilani heard, she turned and saw Alexa at the door, she chuckled and sat down on the bed
"Ya I guess"
"I saw the way you were looking at each other" Alexa said walking into the room
"What? No!" Leilani said, Alexa smiled and sat down on the bed
"He's a good guy Lani"
"Lex I'm here 2 weeks" she said, Alexa shrugged "when did you get so old?" She said, Alexa chuckled
"I'm almost 18 you know"
"I know" she said with a sigh "Lexi do you hate me for not being around?"
"No why would I hate you?"
"I don't know...... just wondering" she said with a shrug
"None of us hate you, were family. Ohana" she said Leilani smiled and looked down at her phone that was buzzing. "Sidney?"
"I don't know, I mean I did give him my number" she said blushing, Alexa looked at the number and smiled
"It's sid" she said turning to walk out "hang out with him. He is absolutely perfect in every way" Alexa said walking out, she shut the door behind her and Leilani picked up her phone.
'Thanks for hanging out with me, it's been awhile since I've been able to be myself around someone, sleep well....see you soon'
Leilani smiled and replied back, she layed down and turned the lamp off next to her as her phone buzzed again. For 2 hours she texted Sidney back and fourth, by the end and she was falling asleep they had planned to grab lunch and go skating.
