Austin Carlile is a fearce warrior, having helped take down so many nations, he was well respected. He was the Son of Zeus. He had the strength, looks, and determination. He lived the high life, and while he wasn't King, he had enough money to live nicely. Everyone knew who he was.

Alan Ashby was a mere mortal, nothing special about him except how bright his hair was. He was lower class, not poor, just lower class. He was usually a servant, but he got transferred from his old boss to someone else. That someone else happened to Austin Carlile, and Austin was taken by him the moment he saw him.
