Just wait he had told her. He took her hand and led her outside at an hour that was far too early for her to be awake. The night still had claim over the land and the stars were watching over them, but the sun’s rays were climbing over the mountain with determination.

The world around the couple came to life. Leaves rustled as creatures leapt from branches, the stars were replaced by flutters of feathers, and unique songs and calls chorused from the shrubbery. Nature was awoken by the sun’s warm caress.
