I can explain with an example. Imagine you’re me on a six-hour train ride on a sunny afternoon. I fall asleep to the motion and wake up to the train coming to a stop. It’s never even the braking that wakes me up, it’s the lack of motion, the stillness itself, but that’s another story. There’s my bottle of water within reach and I’m this close to not being thirsty; it would take maybe a mouthful to tip me over to the hydrated side, but then there would be less water in the bottle, so I choose not to drink. And that’s how I feel about you.
