"Mommy!, mommy!" i heard being whispered loudly in my ear, i opened my eyes and saw my three year old daughter Addy sitting next to me on the bed

"Hey baby girl" i said

"Daddy said to wake you up, we have to go to grandmas soon" she said

"Alright im up, im gonna shower and get dressed and then i'll be downstairs" i said and she smiled hopping off the bed and leaving the room

Today we were having brunch with my family at my parents house, its something we all like to do when were not crazy busy. I took a fast shower and threw on my clothes, a yellow lacy long sleeve dress. My parents are the serious type, my mom is a lawyer and my dad works in insurance. When we show up for any type of gathering its important we dress nice. After i got dressed i went downstairs to see my daughter and husband waiting for me.

"Well good morning sleeping beauty" my husband Tom said coming over to give me a kiss and i rolled my eyes

"Did not mean to over sleep. I swear!" i said

"Its fine, but we gotta leave in a few" he said

"I know" i said sitting at the island counter and taking a sip of his coffee

"By the way, you look beautiful" he said

"Thank you" i said

We got to my parents house kinda late, i know my mom wont be happy but thats life. We walked inside and Louise the butler led us to the backyard. Once outside my mom noticed us instantly.

"Adelaide, Julia, Tom. Its about time you think arrived!" my mom said coming over to give us all hugs

"Sorry were late mom, i over slept. Then there was traffic" i said

"Well your here now thats all that matters" she said

"Mhm" i said

"Come over and join everyone!" she said and we followed her to the table where the rest of the family greeted us

"Hey everyone its good to see you" i said sitting next to my cousin Kara and i gave her a quick hug

"Jules. Hows work going?" my uncle Eric asked me calling me by my family nickname

"Works fine, hectic but fine" i said, im a realtor so i work quite a bit

"Good thats what i like to hear" he said and i nodded

"So mom the pool looks nice" i said, they got the pool retiled

"Thank you, did you bring you swim suit?" my mom asked as she put tea down in front of me

"No none of us did" i said

"Well next time your over you'll have to bring it" she said and i nodded

"Mom. Can i please get some coffee instead?" i asked and Tom laughed a bit

"Coffee is horrible for you" she said

"Coffee is life" i said

"We didnt make coffee, if you want to rot your insides you'll need to go make some inside yourself" she said

"Perfect!, then i can make it how i like!" i said getting up and going in the house

I made my coffee just the way i like it, with just cream and thats it. I put it in one of my moms coffee mugs she uses for work for her tea and went back outside. I took my seat and took a long sip from the drink and my mom looked at me weird

"I cant believe you drink that stuff" my mom said

"Its delicious" i said

"You and your father and your guys coffee addiction" she said shaking her head and i smiled and took another sip

"Mommy can i have some?" Addy asked me

"No hunny, you need to stick to orange juice" i said

"I pray she doesnt get your coffee addiction" my mom said

"She will" i said and my mom sighed

"Julia i really need your opinion on what color i should paint my living room" my cousin Jenny asked showing me a couple paint samples

"Well i really love the light blue, or the grey" i said

"See i love the grey!, but Lyle hates it" she said, Lyles her boyfriend

"Well boys dont have any sense of style when it comes to redoing the wall color, you gotta consider the furniture in the house and since your couch is white blue or grey would be best in my opinion" i said

"Finally someone who agrees with me!" she said

"Mommy can i go swim with Cody?" Abby asked me, Cody is my cousin Erins son

"You didnt bring a bathing suit" i said

"So?" she said and i thought about it

"I guess, but you have to stay with Erin, okay?" i asked

"Okay!" she said

"And your gonna have to deal with being damp on the ride home" i said and she nodded and got up and went with Erin and Cody

"Shes adorable" my mom said

"I know" i said

"Do you guys plan on having more kids?" she asked and Tom choked on his water a little bit

"I dont know, maybe one day" i said

"You should at least have one more" she said

"We'll see mother" i said and she rolled her eyes at me

"You definitely get that attitude from your mother or father" my mom said, ive known i was adopted since i was in my teens

"I bet" i said stirring my coffee

We had a great time at my parents house, Addy really had fun which i was happy about. We left at about 1:30 because Addy was in need of a nap. Once we were home i looked at emails while Tom going over his schedule for the week.

"I have three listings to show tomorrow, i know you have that surgery in the morning and some consultations. Who will watch Abby?" i asked, Tom is a surgeon he works weird hours

"Im sure Ava could, she has the whole week off from work" Tom said, Ava is Toms sister

"That'd be fun, then Abby can play with Bailee" i said, Bailee is Avas daughter

"Yeah, i'll call her later" he said

"Alright" i said

Hell, maybe she'll keep her for the night and we can have some alone time" he said grabbing my hand and kissing it

"Is sex the only thing on your mind?" i asked

"No!, i think about football to and other things. But sex is one of my favorite things ever so its only fitting that i think about it a lot" he said and i giggled

"Your such a guy" i said smacking his chest lightly

"Thanks" he said and i rolled my eyes at him and his beeper on the table went off, he picked it up and checked it before getting off the couch

"I gotta go babe, they need me for a emergency surgery" he said

"Oh, okay" i said

"It'll probably take quite a while, probably wont be home until like nine" he said

"Thats fine, do what you need to" i said

"Love you babe" he said kissing me

"Love you, go save lives!" i said and he grabbed his phone, keys, and beeper and ran out the door

I went to the office and sat at the computer. I answered some emails and wrote some things down on the calendar, just trying to get organized. After i finished all that the rest of the day was pretty relaxed. I watched tv for a bit and then took Abby to the park and made dinner around five. At about ten i was in my pajamas sitting in bed watching lifetime and eating cherrys and drinking wine when Tom walked in, he looked at me and raised his eyebrow at me before laughing and stripping out of his clothes.

"What the hell are you doing?" he asked

"Its my personal girl time" i said taking a sip from the bottle

"Okay, but lifetime. Really?!. And wine?" he asked

"Hey!, these crappy predictable lifetime movies are my guilty pleasure. And wine is a typical girls night drink" i said and he flipped the lights off and got in bed

"Okay well i think you've had enough" he said taking the bottle and putting it on his night stand

"Way to crap on my parade" i said handing him the cherrys and then i slid down in bed

"Alright time for sleep" he said pulling the blankets up around me

"Night" i said pulling the blanket over my head and he snorted at me before turning off the tv and getting comfortable
