The first two days of my four day weekend went by in a flash. But once I said goodbye to my mother, that's when things started slowing down for the next two days. Then Tuesday it was back to work.
Wednesday Magee and I went across the street to the Italian restaurant for lunch. "So he hasn't asked you to go with him to Paris?" Maggee asked as she watched me twirl my fork in my spaghetti like a ballerina. Gerard and a few others were going to Paris this weekend for fashion week. They had a couple of fashion shows to attend and meetings to go to.
"No." I told her, taking my bite of spaghetti. "Why, am I suppose to go?" I asked getting a little too excited. I mean, I am his personal assistant. I'm sure he needs assisting in Paris too, right?
Magee just shrugged, "I don't know. I just figured he would ask you seeing that you two are attached at the hip these days."
I stopped what I was doing and looked up at her confused, "What? Why do you say that?" I asked nervously.
"Just to see your reaction." She laughed. "You did ditch me at lunch twice. Once last week and again this week. I don't like sharing you, Harmony." She joked.
I rolled my eyes, "First off, I wasn't going to turn down free food. And second, I had an excuse last week, I had to work through lunch."
"And what's your excuse for yesterday?"
The truth was that we hadn't seen each other for four days. But I wasn't going to tell her that. So I just smiled over at her, "I told you, I wasn't going to turn down free food."
"Uh-huh." She nodded, eyeing me as she took a sip of her diet cola.
I shook my head at her, "Shut up."

"Chapman." Gerard greeted when he came back from lunch after me.
"Boss man." I greeted back.
"What are you doing this weekend." He asked, stuffing his hands in his front pockets and walking over to my desk.
Yes! This is it. He's going to ask me to go to Paris! I was so excited but I tried to play it cool and clueless. So I just shrugged, "Oh, I don't know. Probably nothing." I casually looked up at him, "Why?" I asked.
"Would you like to go with me this weekend?"
Finally! I couldn't contain my excitement anymore. All I could do was grin from ear to ear like crazy after he asked, "To Paris? The city of love!"
"No, the city of fashion." He corrected.
"Hell yes, I wanna go!" I exclaimed, ignoring him as I bounced in my seat. "Did you have to wait till the last minute to ask?"
"Of course. It was too much fun not too." He smirked.
I rolled my eyes but I couldn't stop smiling. "You're such an ass."
"Is that anyway to talk to your boss who's paying for your trip to Paris."
"Thank you."
"Just remember you'll be working this weekend. Which means you'll be getting paid overtime."
"I'm going to get paid to go to Paris?" I sighed, "Ugh, I hate my job." I groaned with a smile.
"You have a tough life, Chapman." He played along as he walked back to his office.
I quickly picked up the office phone and called my mom but got her voicemail instead. I forgot, she's probably working. "Hey mom, call me back. I've got some exciting news."

Gerard allowed me to leave early on Thursday so I can do some last minute packing just to make sure I have everything. Our plane is suppose to leave in a few hours and Gerard is suppose to pick me up any minute now.
"Can you fit me in there?" Erin asked as she watched me sit on my suitcase just so I can zip it close.
I giggled, "I don't think anything else can fit."
"Well, if you take those bloody shoes out, I'm sure I can fit." She joked with a snicker as she left my room and headed into the kitchen where she was preparing dinner for herself.
I followed her out of my room with my suitcase and brought it to the door next to my carry on bag I was planning on taking with me. I walked over to the window and peared down at the road, no sign of Gerard yet. I walked over to the kitchen and leaned on the counter, watching Erin. "So, whatcha making?"
"Chicken salad," she answered as she continued to chop up the chicken, "Making an early dinner so I can go to bed early." She smiled over at me, "I have the whole place to myself this weekend!"
"No parties while I'm gone, okay missy?"
She just laughed, "No, nothing like that. Maybe I'll just walk around naked."
"Okay, Rachel." I joked, referring to the TV show Friends, where Rachel danced around naked when she had the apartment to herself. But who am I kidding, she probably never heard of the show.
"Who's Rachel?" She asked.
I just shook my head, "Nevermind."
"So what are you and Gerard going to do in Paris?" She asked curiously looking over at me.
"Well, he has a couple of meetings tomorrow, a show tomorrow night, another show Saturday, and an after party Friday and Saturday night after the show. Then it's back home on Sunday." I explained our busy weekend.
"Bow chica wow wow." She muttered under her breath with a smile, then peered over at me.
I rolled my eyes, "Oh, my God, that is so not gonna happen." I reassured her. "He is my boss, for crying out loud!"
"You don't know that. Wait till you guys get some alcohol in your system and then you two won't be able to deny your feelings... I mean, you won't be able to deny your feelings because he makes it pretty obvious that he wants you."
"Well he can't have me cause I'm sorta dating Will."
"That's right." She nodded, "And when was the last time you spoke with William?" She asked with a knowing expression.
I shrugged, "I called him earlier today and told him I was going to Paris for the weekend."
"And what did he say?"
"He was fine with it. He figured I had to go anyways because of Gerard." My phone lite up and started ringing. I checked the caller ID and then pressed the answer, "Yes, Gerard, I'll be out in two seconds." When he said ok, I hung up the phone and gave a quick hug to Erin. "Don't have too much fun while I'm gone, okay?" I told her as she followed me to the door where I grabbed my bag and suitcase.
"And you try not to have too much fun either." She winked as she held the door open for me. I just sent her a smile as I passed her and walked out the door.

Miguel dropped us off at the airport three hours before our flight took off. We dropped our suitcases off, went through security and checked in before going to get something to eat. We took our time eating seeing that we had a little over an hour before we can board the plane. And seeing that we were flying first class, of course, we got to board the plane first.
When we were in the air, Gerard and I enjoyed a glass of white wine together and eventually I passed out for the rest of the ride. Gerard woke me up just in time to get an amazing view of Paris at night. We couldn't really see anything but lights and the lite up Eiffel towel which looked amazing. I know we were here on business but I planed to sneak away one night to visit the Eiffel Tower. There's just no way I can come to Paris and not visit the Eiffel Tower.

"You're so good at that." I told him, dropping my arm from his and following him to the stage.
"At what?" He asked.
"All that attention. The cameras, lights, people shouting at you..."
He just smiled at me, "You'll get use to it. Just wait until they start a rumor about us shagging together." He chuckled.
My eyes widened, "Are you serious?" Of course he's serious. I'm one of the people who would read all the gossip and rumors in the magazines and actually believe it.
