Uranus

1/1

My father showed me Venus in the evening sky when I was a baby; I had a grasp on its comings and goings before I had a consistent image of myself. I also know how to spot Jupiter, but only in relation to Venus as they curve towards each other after a summer sunset. Mars has been lost to the sunrise and Mercury never emerges from it, which teaches me not to stay up till dawn, waiting in vain. Saturn likes to linger until morning, but you won’t be able to see its rings.
Uranus is always out of reach.
