His eyes were rimmed red from staring so long after Clarke's retreating figure. Bellamy had hardly blinked, hardly breathed as images of things that could go wrong flashed with vivid color in his mind. More thought should have been given to the plan and the life that was on the line.

So wrapped in his thoughts, the approaching figure had gone unnoticed. For the first time in an hour, his eyes lifted. "She's not back yet and I-" This boy, who had not yet shown emotion for anyone other than his sister had just felt his walls crumble in real time.
