After You

Hāloa

The gentle breeze of midmorning brushed against my cheeks when I caught sight of you. You were fluttering in the wind, waving at me gently, beckoning me closer. My clothes rustled with excitement as the wind nudged me along the mud trodden path. You quivered in the cool breeze, and I covered you with my shadow, warming you.

Mud squelched beneath my knees as I knelt, staining my pants a rich brown. Bowing my head in reverence, I whispered to you softly.

A gentle breeze brushed against my cheeks, and I smiled as I heard you whisper back.

Hāloa. Brother.

Thank you for reading. This was my first time doing drabble, which was a massive challenge, so please let me know if you have any tips!
