Prologue
We all know about the pink ribbon. The pink ribbon that symbolizes breast cancer awareness. Most wear it throughout the month of October. Some wear it for their loved ones. While others, like Jayme, wore it for themselves.
Jayme was diagnosed with the disease over 10 years ago. The day of her 20th birthday. It is rare for women so young to obtain breast cancer. Jayme was always the odd man out. She was a rare breed; a sight for sore eyes.
Today, she walks with her community. The ribbon pinned to everyone's chest. They combine in unity to spread awareness, get the women to be tested regularly and raise money for a cure.
