Life!

Door.

I woke up the following morning with memories of last night drifting softly through my mind.

I glided downstairs and spotted my brother in the kitchen.

"Thank you." I kissed his cheek.

He cocked his eyebrow at me and I rolled my eyes.

"Don't act like you don't know. Admit it, you actually have a heart."

He smirked and rolled his eyes.

"Where's Cam?"

I shrugged and pulled out a tray of eggs and some flour.

"It's only ten, she's probably asleep."

"Well, better wake her then."

I hummed softly to myself while Matt bolted to Cam's room.

I heard a loud shrieking noise and assumed it was Camryn being carried downstairs against her own will.

He planted her on the ground and she scowled at him.

I stifled back a laugh as Matt just innocently smiled at her.

"That's not funny. I'm so mad at you right now-"

"Well calm down. You're not dead or anything."

"But I could've died Matt- I really could have."

I laughed out loud this time and set up a plate of pancakes for each of them.

"Well, no one's dead, and come on, I made breakfast for my favorite siblings."

"We're your only siblings Jaz."

I rolled my eyes at Cam and set the plate down in front of her.

She smiled and muttered a quick 'thank you' as Matt shoveled the food down his throat like it was going to get up and run away.

I laughed and planted a kiss on Camryn's cheek.

"That was for the amazing night I had last night. Thank you."

She smiled, "It's all good, but you owe me."

"Hey, I made breakfast right?"

"Well, yeah but I want moneeyyy."

I laughed, "When I get paid, I'll give you 20 bucks."

She scoffed, "You owe me like 50 bajillion!"

Matt laughed, "She's right you know."

"ShutupMattyouowemelike400zillion!"

I laughed and finally managed to sit down to my own plate of food.

After we finished eating I gravitated over to the living room and turned on the TV.

"Last night we followed former Dream Street member Greg Raposo to this familiar home here in north miami.

Some of you may remember the band from the late 90's, it consisted of 5 members including one of America's most popular teen sensations: Jesse McCartney.

Here's news for all you boys and girls who remember this band: They've reconvened here in south Florida and maybe we may see history repeat itself."

I scoffed and rolled my eyes, 'Keep dreaming America.'

'Let me be the one you call, if you jump, I'll break your fall, lift you up and fly away with you into the night-'

"Hello?"

"Jaz?"

I laughed and switched off the TV.

"What's up Pixi?"

"I've got this stupid history paper due in three hours."

I raised my free hand to my forehead and closed my eyes as if I was getting some sort of premonition.

"And Wait, let me guess- You need help writing it because you forgot to study the chapter."

"Please?"

I sighed and darted upstairs.

"You owe me."

"Thanks lovey."

I hung up the call and readied the shower.

"Where are you going?"

I finished straightening my hair and looked over at Cam.

"Helping Pixi with her history paper."

"So you're straightening your hair?"

I shrugged, "I felt like it, is that a crime?"

"Yes" she sarcastically responded and I laughed as she ambled away.

I finished getting ready and eventually made my way over to Pixi's.

"Oh my God! Jaz!"

She pulled me by the shirt and dragged me into her house.

'Whoa. Where's the fire?'

She pulled up the DVR on her TV and played back the earlier E news story.

"Okay annddd...?"

She looked at me, completely dumbfounded.

"You can finally meet them! Didn't you say that you wanted to meet Frankie?!"

"No. Well, yes but-"

'Let me be the one you call, if you jump, I'll break your fall, lift you up and fly away with you into the night-'

'Shit'

I glanced at my phone and ignored the call.

"But what?"

I opened my mouth to respond, but my phone rang again.

I mouthed a quick 'I'm Sorry' and answered the phone.

"Hello?"

"Hey beautiful."

My heart skipped a beat and I smiled outrageously into the receiver.

"Hey, I really want to talk to you, but right now is not a good time."

"Oh, I'm sorry, you busy?"

"Helping my friend write a history paper."

"Ah, Well, do you want me to call you later? Or will you call me or-"

"I'll call you back... Unless... Hold on."

I looked up at Pixi and placed my phone on mute.

"Whose that?"

I blushed the brightest red possible and smiled at her, "It's someone."

"If you could be anymore red right now, you'd be a tomato."

I smiled even more, "If he brings a friend, can he come over?"

She cocked an eyebrow at me and smirked.

"He has to be cute."

'Girl, you have no idea.'

I nodded and unmuted the device.

"Hello? Sorry about that. Would you mind meeting me at my friends house?"

"Ummm... I thought you said-"

"I know what I said, but now I'm saying I want to see you."

I heard him laugh and I started melting and probably blushing even more.

"Sure. Text me directions?"

"Absolutely."

I hung up the phone and smiled at Pixi.

"Thank yoooouuu"

She rolled her eyes and pulled out her laptop.

"Well, there goes my idea."

I helped her finish her essay by the time Frank sent me a text informing me that they had arrived.

They knocked on the door and Pixi stood to answer.

I immediately grabbed her and stopped her.

"There are things about my life I haven't told you. Mostly because it's nice for once having a friend who treats me like I'm human.

I want you to stay as cool as possible when you meet these guys okay?"

She looked completely bewildered and nodded obediently.

"Are you okay love? You seem upset."

I hesitated a moment before answering the door and nodded.

"I just don't want you to treat me different when you find out everything."

She nodded.

"I swear."

I sighed and opened the door.
