Youth

How nice it would be if I could just be fourteen years old once again. Just a young boy, too shy to get the girl he likes and trying his best against the world.

Now I am too old and I need to take medicine every single night; something for the heart, something for the stomach, something so I can stop thinking and sleep.

I have reached an age where all I want is to just sleep eternally and let my kids and grandkids live their lives without caring about an elderly man.

Even though every man and woman want youth, we all know that once we have passed that stage there is no going back, and my youth has already ended.
