Tales of Symphonia Story, Tethe'alla Chronicles (3)

QUIZ START: You heard a familiar voice announce,
"...They aren't from Tethe'alla." suddenly Corrine appeared in a cloud of smoke, and cut Lloyds bindings. Then Sheena appeared in one of her infamous smoke clouds, "They are both pretty strange. The boy was raised in Sylvarant with half-elves and a dwarf. And the girl doesn't remember much of anything-- other than the past four years anyway."
"Sheena!" you exclaim, glad to see your friend again,
"How did you know we..." started Lloyd,
"I'll explain later. Genis and Raine are being taken to Meltokio." Sheena responded quickly, "If we go after them now, we should be able to save them!"
"Are you planning on running away?" asked Kate.
"Are you going to try to stop us?" countered Sheena,
"Aura and Lloyd want to save their half-elf friends." Zelos said "What are you going to do, Miss Half-elf?"
"I...I won't let you trick me. Theres no way a human would save a half-elf."
"We aren't lying." you say, "Those two half-elves are our friends!"
"...Kate. I did hear they arrested two half-elves up above..." her assistant agreed.
"..."
"There's no time. If you're going to get in our way, we'll just have to fight you!" Lloyd said,
"We don't want to hurt you, Kate!" you say "We want to help our friends!! Please!"
"...K-Kate..." she stuttered,
"Ah--...uh..." you ask, "Did I say something wrong?"
"You..." she said "You're the first human to ever show kindness towards me... and... You even called me by name."
"Well...I..." you start,
"...Fine." she said,
"Huh?"
"I'll let you go. If you promise that once you've saved your half-elf friends, you will come back here." Kate was talking to you more than the others "If what you've said is true...I'll release Presea from her experiment."
"You promise?" asked Lloyd
"I swear upon the name of the Goddess Martel." she told you.
"I promise. We are going to come back." you tell her,
"Then...follow me. Theres a hidden passage." Kate walked over to one of the metal cabinets. After she pushed a button is slid aside, revealing an entrance "You can escape to the surface through this door."
"Thank you, Kate." you say,
"Hurry! We need to head for the bridge!" Sheena ordered.
"By whose order was Preseas experiment carried out?" asked Zelos,
"I...can't say." Kate responded,
"The Pope, then." he assumed,
"..."
"Zelos! Come on!!" Lloyd said. Then you all run up the stairs.
"I know, I know! Sheesh..."

After following the stairs, you wind up at a man-hole cover. After pushing it aside, your back on the street in front of the Imperial Research Academy.
"Lets hurry!!!" you all run to the bridge, and start to cross it as fast as you can.

Your almost all the way across, when you see the last section being raised, with Raine, Genis and the Papal Knights on the other side!!
"Damn! There trying to cut us off! Come on, well have to jump it!" Lloyd exclaimed,
"Woah! Wait! Time-out! Are you nuts?! Well die if we fall from here!!" Zelos said,
"And if we abandon them, they'll die to!" Lloyd argued.
"...Let us continue our pursuit." Presea agreed. And you all follow Lloyd,
"Man..." the red-head groaned.

You all jump across the gap, but don't make it. Colettes wings appear, you force your mana up as quickly as you can, and your wings burst from your back. You and Colette fly to safety.
"Undine help!" yelled Sheena. Purple light funneled down to the water, and a geyser of water shot up, pushing everyone safely back. They all land on the land-based side of the bridge opening. Colette floated down to the ground, the pulled her wings back in, and you land as well,
"...Safe landing due to an unknown force. No damage detected." Presea announced,
"Are you guys ok?" you ask,
"Aura is an angel too?!" demanded Zelos, "What the heck is going on here?!"
"Excuse me. But Professor Sage and Genis are--" said Presea,
"That's right. We have to save them!" Lloyd exclaimed. The knights quickly turned back, not too happy at all,
"Damn, they must have escaped!" said one,
"Give us back our friends!!" Lloyd ordered,
"Silence!!" They charged you, however you found that the battle was fairly easy; they were barely stronger than the Desians you had been fighting in Sylvarant.

After, you free Raine and Genis,
"Lloyd! Everyone!" Genis exclaimed,
"...You came to rescue us." Raine said gratefully,
"Of course! You're our friends!" Lloyd told her,
"But...were half-elves." Genis mumbled.
"So...what's your point?" the boy asked.
"Lloyd!" the little half-elf exclaimed.
"We don't care." you tell them, "To us, your still just Professor Raine and Genis. Right?"
"Yeah." Lloyd agreed.
"...What about the Tethe'alla half of our group. Do you mind if we join up with you?" asked Raine
"I'm from Mizuho...we're not exactly mainstream, either. We're not that different." Sheena explained.
"...To tell you the truth, I can't say I'm really kosher with this." Zelos agreed, "Then again, people have always treated me differently, saying I'm 'a descendent of angels'. So in a way were a lot alike."
"I...just want to go home." Presea asked,
"I see... All right then." Raine agreed,
"By the way, why is Sheena here?" asked Genis,
"...I have orders from my chief. I'm supposed to observe your activities." she said
"Thats typical of Mizuho. They're trying to decide if they should side with the King or you guys." Zelos explained,
"So now we have two people keeping tabs on us." Genis said unenthusiastically,
"But I'm not trying to do anything, or get in your way or anything! So...so..." Sheena started,
"We know that already. You're an honest person... perhaps to a fault." Raine agreed.
"At this point, I'm okay with anything." Lloyd sighed,
"Agreed." you add,
"Now we just need Sheena to form a pact with Volt, and we can get those Rheairds working." Lloyd said. Sheena gasped, stiffening.
"Volt?!" you guys turned to her, confused.
"...Sheena?" asked Presea.
"...Ah...nothing."
"Then shouldn't we go get the Rheairds first?" asked Zelos, "Either way Volts temple is on the other side of the Grand Tethe'alla Bridge. It'll be faster if we pick up the Rheairds since the bridge is closed off right now."
"Pick up? How are you planning on moving those things?" asked Lloyd,
"Heheh. Just leave that to me!" he responded knowingly "I prepared a secret weapon just in case something like this happened."
"What secret weapon?" asked Genis,
"It wouldn't be any fun if I spoiled the surprise! Now lets get going! To the Fooji Mountains!"
"I can't believe we're going to have to climb that mountain again..." Lloyd groaned.
