Tales of Symphonia Story, Tethe'alla Chronicles (3)

QUIZ START: The inside of the castle was amazing; huge and elegantly decorated,
"Well, we managed to make it inside. Lloyd sighed, looking around,
"What do we do with the sacred wood?" asked Genis,
"...Leave it here." Presea told him.
"Alright...then now, we need to find the royal chambers." you suggest,
"What will you do, Presea?" asked Genis,
"Yes, sending her back alone would be suspicious. Lets have her come with us." Raine agreed,
"Would you do that for us?" asked Lloyd.
"..." Presea nodded, but didn't speak.

After wandering around the castle for a short while, you find the Kings room
"Hey, you. Who gave you permission to come here?" asked the guard outside the door,
"We brought the sacred wood." you explain, everyone else stayed quiet and let you make something up, "But we were asked to aid with the preparations for the prayers, so..."
"It was an order from the Pope." Raine put in quickly,
"The Pope? Just a moment, I'll ask." the Guard said. But right after he turned around, Lloyd knocked him out,
"Sorry about this!" he apologized,

Once in the room...You see Zelos was there, as well as a girl, a fat man, and another man, probably the king.
"What going on?!" demanded the fat man, he was the Pope.
"...Huh? Its you people." Zelos mumbled,
"Ah! Your the one we met in..." Lloyd started,
"Chosen, do you know them?" asked the Pope,
"Chosen?!" exclaimed Genis,
"Well, I dunno if I'd say I know them." he responded, "Just what are you people doing here?"
"So you're Tethe'alla's Chosen of Mana..." Raine commented,
"What?!" exclaimed Lloyd and Genis at once,
"This guy's the Chosen?!" asked Lloyd,
"What do you mean 'Tethe'alla's'?" Zelos asked,
"Are you...from Sylvarant?" asked the Pope.
"...Yes. We are." Raine told him,
"These are people from the declining world?!" exclaimed the girl, she was the princess.
"Princess, have no fear. Um...what's your name?" asked Zelos, looking at Lloyd,
"Lloyd."
"Lloyd. For what purpose have you come here?"
"We've come to deliver this letter. It's from Sheena, of Mizuho, to the King." Lloyd responded,
"Sheena? Whats your relationship with Sheena?" asked Zelos,
"Sheena?!" exclaimed the King,
"Your Majesty! Please forgive us for causing a disturbance in your presence." the Pope apologized,
"Lloyd...give me the letter." the King ordered calmly, Lloyd walked forward and handed the King the letter that Sheena had written,
"...Here it is." he said.
"People of Sylvarant, wait in the other room for a while." he instructed,
"...Pastor, show them to the Crimson Chamber." the Pope ordered,
"Yes. Your Eminence."

You've all been sitting in the room for a while now, perhaps an hour,
"They're making us wait a long time." Lloyd commented,
"They may be preparing to kill us. To them, Colette is an obstacle. But we must be careful, if you remember, more than one person has suspected Aura as the Chosen." Raine told him,
"...If things turn out like that, what will become of Presea?" asked Genis,
"We'll have to find some way to let her escape." Lloyd agreed,
"Im sorry for dragging you into this Presea." Genis apologized,
"..." she didn't respond,
"...!" you look towards the door, "Someone's coming..."
"Mm?" everyone turned to the door just as it opened. The Pope, Zelos and two guards entered the room,
"Sorry to keep you waiting, travelers from Sylvarant." the Pope commented,
"So you read the letter." Lloyd said, standing,
"You want to use Tethe'allan technology to save the Chosen from your side...right?" asked Zelos.
"Colette has lost her soul. She will lose her human life as well if she stays this way." Lloyd explained,
"But as long as the Chosen lives, our world teeters on the brink of destruction." the Pope argued,
"It's just like Raine said..." Genis muttered. Raine pushed you behind her. The guards had surrounded Colette, but seeing Raine's action, one said,
"Wait. That woman.... She's hiding some girl. That girl must be the Chosen!" he said,
"...!" you stiffen,
"Wait, please! Listen to what we--" Lloyd started,
"I don't want to hear it! Get them!" the Pope ordered.
"I'm sorry Aura..." the Professor apologized quietly, "I didn't mean--"
"No, it's ok. At least Colette is safe." you whisper. The guards move towards you and Raine, who is still in front of you. But Colette got in their way, and delt them both a hard blow.
"...C...Colette?" you ask,
"Damn! They can't even scratch her, because of that zombie!" the Pope cursed.
"Aura isn't the Chosen!" Lloyd exclaimed angrily, "The Professor was just protecting her!"
"Lloyd!" you hiss at him,
"So, that girl really is the Chosen." a guard said. Colette didn't move,
"See? I told you. They have Exspheres. Of course they're powerful." Zelos commented,
"Hmmm. Your not as dumb as you look." Genis told him,
"Impudent little brat..." Zelos muttered
"What would you say to making a deal?" suggested Raine,
"A deal?" asked the Pope,
"Colette," the Professor motioned forward, making sure they knew it was Colette and not you she was talking about, "Lost her soul because she was being reborn as an angel in order to save Sylvarant. But as long as she does not become an angel....Sylvarant will not be saved."
"I see, so if we save the Chosen, Tethe'alla will be saved as well." Zelos concluded,
"That means you'll be abandoning Sylvarant." the Pope reminded her,
"I don't care." Raine said simply,
"Professor! What are you saying?!" Lloyd demanded,
"Our priority right now is to save Colette, is it not?" she asked,
"But...abandoning Sylvarant..." Genis said,

"All right. Thats fine." Lloyd sighed,
"Is it ok to decide something like that so easily?" asked Genis,
"Right now, the most important thing is to save Colette." Lloyd told him, "That's why we came all the way to Tethe'alla, right?"
"Is there internal discord?" asked the Pope curiously,
"No...well do as the Professor suggested, and make a deal. Please tell us how to save Colette." Lloyd told them,
"Say, Pope. If these guys don't go back to Sylvarant, then it doesn't matter if they're alive or dead." Zelos commented, "They can't complete the regeneration ritual. So I'll go along and keep tabs on them. That should be fine."
"...If you insist, Chosen One." the Pope agreed.
"Then, you'll save Colette, right?" you ask..
"Well, we'll do what we can anyway. I swear on my name as Zelos, the Chosen." Zelos responded,
"'Ill give you permission to travel Tethe'alla, but only under the Chosen's observation." the Pope told you,
"...I guess we don't have much of a choice. Ok, thats fine." Lloyd agreed.
"Then it's settled!" Zelos grinned, "I'm going to go get ready. So can we meet up later?"
"Where do you want to meet?" asked Lloyd,
"Hmmm...How about the Martel Cathedral?"
"All right."
"Then, Chosen One, please report this to His Majesty." the Pope asked.
"You got it. See you later, my beautiful maiden," he grinned at you, "My gorgeous lady," he looked at Raine, "Cute Chosen," Colette, "And tiny rosebud." Presea. As he started to leave he stopped and added over his shoulder, "Oh, and you servant boys." Genis and Lloyd glared angrily at him as he left.
