Tales of Symphonia Story, Tethe'alla Chronicles (3)

QUIZ START: When you finally make it to the bridge...it was huge! From where you stood you couldn't even see the other side,
"Whoa!! That's a huge bridge!!" Lloyd exclaimed. Your head was hurting weakly; you remembered the image of the huge bridge that you saw right when you got to Tethe'alla, but you ignore it,
"Listen and be amazed, bumpkins." Zelos announced, "This is the greatest drawbridge in the world. It connects the continents of Altamira and Fooji. Its control system incorporates 3,000 exspheres."
"...!" you gasp softly, feeling your blood chill at the thought,
"Three thousand..." Genis murmured,
"Three thousand...human lives..." Lloyd agreed,
"Hmm? Whats wrong? What's with those faces?" asked Zelos,
"I supposed we'd better tell you." Raine decided.

By the end of the story all of you had taken to sitting on the small steps that led up to the body of the bridge. Zelos was quiet for a long while, then asked,
"...That's a pretty sobering story. Is that really true?"
"Do you think wed make up something like that?" asked the brunette.
"..." Presea didn't even seem phased.
"Oh, well." Zelos stood, "Even so; it's not like the dead are going to come back to life at this point." he shrugged, "It's always best to look on the bright side of things." all of you merely stared at him,
"I can't tell if hes a positive thinker, or just doesn't care about anything..." Raine commented as the rest of you stood.
"Since we're on the subject, you and Presea both have Exspheres too." Lloyd commented, "Does everyone have Exspheres in this world? It didn't sound like it from the way Sheena talked about them."
"Hmm." Zelos thought for a moment, "Nope. I got this from these guys who call themselves the Renegades." he explained, "They distributed quite a few of them to Sheena and the Papal Knights and such."
"And Presea?" asked Genis,
"Beats me." he responded simply. He turned to the little girl, "Well, little one?"
"..." the girl was silent.
"She's so talkative." Zelos mumbled sarcastically.
"...Altamira...and Fooji..." you mumble. Presea turned to you, hearing your mumbling. You had been looking straight at the bridge this whole time,
"...Aura is something the matter?" she asked,
"W-what?" you look at her. That had also gotten everyone else's attention,
"Is something wrong? You've been...kinda quiet over there." Lloyd agreed,
"N-no, I'm fine. I was just..." you pause for a second, considering what to say, "I was just thinking.... That's all."
"...Well...if you're sure... Let's go!" the brunette suggested. You start off across the bridge, occasionally glancing over the sides to look at the wide expanses of ocean.

It actually took almost an hour before you'd finally reached the other side. A small murmur had begun building in the back of your head. The moment you set foot on the ground, voices exploded in your head; conversations, yells, screams...
"Ahh-ahh!!!" you clutch at your head; blocking your ears to try and quiet the noise; you sink to your knees so you don't have to worry about falling should your head start spinning,
"Aura!" Genis asked worriedly; however you could barely hear him. You heard so many voices...

"You're sure we should go this way?"
"How the hell do you purpose we get across this ocean?!"
"We will find a way. Just give us time to think..."
"N-n-no! No way! I'm not going in there! That forest is creepy!!"
"Scaredy cat!"
"Don't call me that!"
"Hahahaha!"
"Stop laughing at me!"
"Sorry, I'm sorry!!"
"We need to get to Sybak. That's where we could probably get information on how to cross to the Fooji continent."
"This place is huge..."
"This is the Altamira continent; we've already done all we can here."
"Where are we?"
"Man! We got lost again! "
"We're not lost! I...just don't know where we are, that's all."
"We're lost!!"
"This forest is called Gaoracchia Forest. Or, the 'Forest of No Return'."
"This place is creepy..."
"Why can't people just accept Half-elves?!"
"Please, calm down! We don't want to get in another fight!"
"Oh...this city is beautiful...!"
"This is our home."
"Is it always so snowy?"
"Yeah...always."

Words, and bits and pieces of sentences kept ringing in your ears, most of which you couldn't make out clearly. All the words and conversations were in the same five voices. You could identify three of the voices now; one was Yuan, one was Kratos... the last one you could identify was Yours.
"Aura, are you ok?" asked Genis despite the fact that you couldn't hear him. Your hands were firmly pressed over your ears, trying to drown out the voices; your eyes screwed shut as you did your best to concentrate on trying to block out the voices.
After close to five minutes the voices began to dull and quiet; your head stopped pounding. Once they had completely died away you let out a relieved sigh, dropping your hands to your sides. You put a hand on your forehead, and notice that your face was covered in sweat
"...I'm glad that's over..." you mutter.
"Aura, what happened?" asked Raine. Lloyd helped you stand, and while you all headed for Sybak you explained what happened,
"Wow...So you just heard a lot of voices screaming?" asked Lloyd.

Soon you arrive at Sybak, your head hurt a bit, but it was very easy to ignore it.
"I hate...this city... Hurry... to Ozette..." Presea asked. You flinch a little when your head started pounding harder *Why is this always happening?!* you think,
"I...I'm sorry, Presea." Genis apologized,
"Wait just a minute little one. We'll be done in a jiffy, right Lloyd?" Zelos asked,
"Yeah... I'm sorry." Lloyd agreed.
"Ugh..." you murmur, "I guess every time I get memories back...I'm going to get a headache..."
"Are you going to be alright?" asked Raine,
"I'll be fine." you assure, then make your way to the Imperial Research Academy.
