Bad Blood
Jack's POV
My life has been hell since Alex walked out of it. Every day! I regret every day where I don't get to hold him in my arms and keep him safe. All because of some stupid mistake from some stupid party! It was all my fault though, I do not blame Alex for this. But I knew I had to get him back, one way or another.
It's been exactly one month since Alex walked away... well, made me walk away. It's been one month and I haven't stopped missing him. Not even a little bit. Which is why I had met up with some online friends who were willing to help me get him back. Because I needed him back. All of them agreed that I fucked up, royally. But, they could see how much I regretted what I did. I need him. More than I can explain.
So that's why I'm getting out of bed today. That's why, although I've been keeping up to standard with my hair and it's length, I'm getting out of bed. I've not really needed to leave my house over the last month, besides to meet up with Zack to get some of my stuff. But I knew Alex still had at least half of it. He'd probably burned it.
It was 11 when I got out of bed, being awoken by a text from Zack telling me he had my clothes and he was coming over with them around about seven. I had moved in with May, my sister, who wasn't the first, but was quick to tell me how much of an idiot I was. I just nodded at her that night. I didn't speak. But, despite her anger, she knew I needed Alex, and she was willing to help me. So with an hour to spare, I got out of bed and got ready.
Then, at 12 o'clock, May and I left the house, ready to meet Vic, Kellen and Josh. We were meeting them at one at Starbucks, but May wanted to be there early due to the queues. So at quarter past 12, we arrived at Starbucks. And then spent a further half an hour in the queue. I got it now. So finally, we got our drinks and got our cups before sitting down in one of the window booths. 15 minutes later, three boys came sauntering through the door. One turned and I noticed it was Josh. I shouted him over and the other two, who turned out to be Vic and Kellen, also turned. I waved them over, smiling as best as I could.
They came over, with a bounce in their step and sat in front of us, assuring us they were fine when we asked if they wanted a drink. Josh wanted to get down to planning straight away. Vic and Kellen both were the same. I was a little excited myself, the idea of getting Alex back fuelling my excitement. We got straight to planning, coming up with a bunch of ideas. As I looked up, the door opened. I briefly recognised the person that walked in first, but the second person stopped my heart. Alex.
I nudged May, pointing her in the direction of the door. She gasped softly as I quietly explained to the three confused boys in front of me who had just walked through the door. It was taking every ounce of strength I had in me to not run over, grab him and kiss him. But I couldn't. Not after how we were the last time we saw each other. God if I could take that back...
