Chapter 41: And Suicide it is

"Help me, you lazy dickbags!" Bam screamed at Otep and Bert who stood watching in a stunned state of terror as the humongous bodyguard held him over his head to, from what Otep had reported to everyone observing on Solitary Confinement, literally break his body in half like a twig! Bucking in the man's beefy, but firm hold, Bam tried to buy himself some time to be rescued by wriggling as violently as he could slacken any grip from him. Shattered out of his petrified state, Bert fearlessly sprinted towards the giant, and with a wince of pain himself as if he too felt it, he jabbed the end of the shower pipe directly into the guard's crotch. The guard's eyes distended out in anguish and shock as he let out an almost girlish shriek in response, his hands slackening and flinging Bam directly onto Otep and Bert before falling to his own knees. The pain was too much to repair from, and so his vision quickly dissolved to black as he slumped forward onto the floor with a groan.

“Ow, Bam you're heavy!” Otep protested teasingly as she squirmed beneath him, trying to find a way out from beneath his weight.

“Shut up, you dike!” Bam growled, not in the mood for anyone's games. “You weren't the one about to be snapped in half!”

And just like that, Otep lost all of her banter and snapped back at him with an intimidation for always being a jerk. “Listen to me, you little pansy bitch! Call me a dike again, and your fucking crotch will be the next one beaten down into pancake batter!”

Bert cowered at her comeback, once again feeling the pain between his own legs as he visualized her threat too graphically. "Fuck me, Otep can you refrain from threatening his crotch with me around? I literally felt that shit just now!”

“Oh, whatever.” Hustling Bam's off of her, Otep stood herself up to straighten her white clothes as she examined their surroundings. They were back in Solitary Confinement, exactly the place they were battling to get too. Already half of their mission was almost complete. Well, boys, it looks like we made it to our destination. Now, all we gotta do is find Connor and Cris, and get them the hell out of here. I'll go check the security station to find out what room they're in in case they were moved since the last time we've been here.” Abstracting the shower pipe from Bert's hold, Oteo headed back down the hall whence they came to the vacant security station. Slugging the window in crystallize pieces beneath the security camera glimpse of her, Otep reached her hand through and around the the window to unlock the door before making her way into the station, ditching the shower pipe by the door in case the others needed to obtain it. Looking around, Otep unearthed the list of prisoners confined on the Confinement floor that she was ransacking for. “Gotcha!” Flipping through the pages, she could pick up the dull thumps of the guard's head being clobbered into like a pinata with what sounded like the shower pipe she'd just left by the door. Turns out they needed it after all and it was to end the life of the guard who'd nearly snapped Bam in half. The large man was still a threat even though he was unconscious. He had to be neutralized to ensure their chance of escaping.

Both Bam and Bert took turns pummeling the thick skull in with the shower pipe, droplets of blood scattering across them, the ceiling above and the walls behind them. After what felt like an hour of performing the tiresome task, they finally felt sure that the guard was completely dead. Panting heavily from the effort that it had taken to slay a grown man, Bam paused with a look of turmoil on his face. “I don't get it shit anymore, man! We just KILLED someone, we took another human being's LIFE! Why the FUCK are we not freaking out that we just killed someone?”

Bert found himself stilling at Bam's point. Why weren't they losing it right now? A regular person would be losing their minds right now and yet...they committed the act of murder like it wasn't a big deal. Unsure of this was a good thing, or a bad thing, Bert desperately searched his mind for some kind of justification to this that would rationalize their calm state. “Well...it can be for one or two reasons. One, we've gone clinically insane due to all the drugs they've been supplying us during our time incarcerated, and no longer know right from wrong. Or two, we've seen what they have done to us and to the others down here, and we no longer retain the leniency to relinquish them like any normal people would in our position.” Bert shrugged to himself at how ludicrous his hypothesis sounded to his own ears, but perhaps the irregular pill popping of varied unidentified drugs was the most logical answer in their case. “Either way, I don't think this means butchering other people will come easy for us from here on out, but if that's going to be the case then we are just the evil products this subterranean environment has spawned.”

With that being said, the young men both glanced over to identify Otep striding over to them with the set of keys to free the cell doors. “Found the boys. Room 574 and 593. It turns out they never moved Connor to begin with.” She watched the guys simultaneously sigh with relief before tensing back up again. Gathering the looks on their face, they too were wondering if they would open the doors to a living breathing person or unresponsive corpses. Otep didn't think she could do it as she extracted the key to room 593 from the key ring to extend it to their leader. “Look, Bert...I-I don't think I can go in there and see Cris if he's...you know. I don't think I can handle that right now.”

“I'm right there with you. I don't think I could stomach it either.”Their eyes both landed on the other member involved, Bert being the one to request with some pause as he received the key from Otep and gave it out to him. “Bam, could you do it for us? I mean I know he was your roommate, but we've known him longer than you and it would just...desolate us to the point of slowing us down if he's not alive in there. We don't want to become a hindrance to this plan whether he's alive or not. We can't chance it.”

Bam looked insulted at having to be the one to confront Cris's dead body on his own, but seized the key up from his palm anyway. True, he wasn't that close to him as everyone else, but still, he wasn't looking forward to being greeted with a corpse just as much as they do. Despite that, he neared the door 593 while disputing with them over his shoulder. “Hey, I liked the guy too, you know! I may not be in love him as much as you two are, but he was a decent friend to me too! I don't see why I gotta be the one to check up on him!”

Neglecting Bam's complaining, Bert and Otep closed in on room 574 with uneasiness. They cracked open Connor's door, tenderly whispering his name out to him in hopes that he was still alive too. Their return was a barrage of expletives at them. “I thought you fucking said your asses would be back soon, you lying sacks of shit!” Connor bellowed, not caring if there was still danger lurking nearby.

“Would you shut the hell up, asshole, we're here to save you!” Otep couldn't help but laugh at Connor's rage towards them. For some reason, his rage always made her laugh unlike Bam's rage. His was unnecessary and took over the top for her. “Be grateful we didn't leave your ass behind!”

“Fuck you!” Connor spat from where he was still suspended on the wall upside down in a straitjacket. “I wish you would leave my ass behind. Let's see how far you idiots fare without me.”

Bert smirked in response, so overjoyed to hear Connor curse the ground they walked upon once more. It felt just like the good old days again. “Calm your tits, Connor, we got you now.”

“Yeah yeah yeah, keep fucking smiling.” Connor growled through his long black hair. Now, get me the fuck down from here before I crushed the life out of both of you cock suckers.”

Otep toiled with unfastening the rope around Connor's ankle while Bert served to keep him suspended, so he wouldn't fall on his head. It worked. Connor's feet soon settled on the floor again and a grin spanned his face. “Fucking finally!” The ground felt glorious underneath his feet, but they didn't have time for that. Correcting his back, he grilled. “So, I take it we're all getting out tonight?”

Otep handled unstrapping him from straitjacket next as Bert crossed his arms in front of him and conceded the truth. “Actually, we had no choice, but to escape tonight.”

Connor narrowed his eyes. “Jesus, what happened while I was down here? Was it bad?”

“Yeah, it was bad. A guard assaulted the girls, and tried to take them down to Confinement. Only Cris sacrificed himself for them, and so now he's down here too.” Bert disclosed as serenely as possible.

“Are you fucking kidding me!?” Connor demanded, instantly pissed off at that dreadful news.

“No, I'm not, but he hasn't been down here for long. The second I learned he was trapped down here, I knew there was no way to save him unless we performed a suicide mission tonight.” Bert went on.

“And suicide it is.” Connor nodded, understanding Bert's choice to initiate the plan tonight.

“Actually, Connor, something else happened upstairs. It's pretty much the reason why we took forever to come back to save you. They've fucking enhanced everything. The doors now require fingerprint analysis and the cameras are pretty much inescapable now.” Bert massaged the back of his neck, reminding himself of all the uncertainties they have ahead of them tonight.

“You gotta be fucking with me here!” Connor clenched his fists as soon as Otep helped expel the jacket from him, freeing him completely now. “Fingerprint analysis, LEGIT fingerprint analysis like in the movies? Shit, when you said suicide mission you weren't kidding.”

Bert solemnly shook his head. “No, and on top of that they know we're down here.”

“Then what are we waiting for? We gotta get the fuck out of here now!” Connor flew out of the room, only skidding to a standstill with two chasing behind him when he noticed the dead guard's body at the end of the hall with the bludgeoned head. Glancing over his shoulder with a nod of praise to them, he said. “Good work, you two.”
