Beep. Beep. Beep.

I awoke to the sound of a heart monitor.

I must be in the hospital.

I wanted to open my eyes but they were just so heavy.

I tried to speak but no words came.

I opened my eyelids slowly.

The room was very bright.

"I think she's waking up."

"Abby?"

"Ladybug?"

"Sunshine?"

I reached for the last voice.

"Henry," I whispered hoarsely.

Then I was gone again.
