I Have the Only Key to Your Heart

I wake up and look outside and see Spring Creek. I grab my phone and see it's ten. I get up and go outside and don't see Mike. I grab my phone and call Ken and look around and stop seeing a note on the coffee maker. I grab it and see Ken said that I can stay in the RV all day and Pops is going to stay out with Mike all day. I sigh and hang up then text Ken to make sure he text me updates about Mike. I make sure the door is locked before getting a cup of coffee. I get change then do my hair and makeup. I sit down on the bed and turn music on my phone. I grab my book and start reading the book. It's been about an hour before there is a knock on the door. I get up and open the door and see Pops.

"Hey," He said.
"Hey."
"Come to the Rig."
"I really don't want to be here."
"Mike is scared that you and Ken are fighting so he's being clinging to Ken."
"It's lunch time."
"Yeah."

I nod my head and grab my phone, book and tablet. I walk outside and lock the RV. Pop stays with me. Ken looks at me when I came in and I see Mike is grabbing his leg. I go over and kiss his lips then put my book on the table and squat down to look at Mike. He looks at me. I run my hand threw his hair making him glare at me.

"Are you ok?" I asks.
"I don't want to not live with Daddy," He said.
"Baby that's not what's happening."
"Then why aren't you taking me out?"

I take a deep sigh trying to think of a way to describe it to him. Ken picks him up.

"You know mommy used to race?" Ken asks.
"Yeah," Mike said.
"She got hurt here really bad. It's not a pleasant thought so she really wants to pretenthat she's not here."
"I'm going to stay in the Rig so I'm closer if you need me," I said.

I fix his hair and kiss his forehead.

"I stay with Pops," Mike said.
"Good."

I kiss his forehead again. Ken kiss the top of my head.

"Did you do your singing already?" I asks.
"Yeah. Sit down. I get you lunch," Ken said.
"A little," I said since my stomach is knotting up.

He nods his head and kiss my forehead. He hands me Mike then walks out. I go and set Mike down on the chair and he starts eating again. I sit down and watch Mike. Jessica came over and smiles at me.

"Are you feeling better?" Jessica asks.
"A little. I'm just staying on the rig now," I said.
"Was it something you ate?"
"Yeah."

I smile at her. Ken came and put down my plate. I smile at him and pick at it till Mike and Pops leaves. Ken looks at me.

"Are you feeling ok?" Ken asks.
"My stomach hurts."

He looks at me and kiss my forehead.

"Love you," Ken said.
"Love you too," I said.
"Get a hold of someone and get out here when the race ends," He said.
"I'm fine. I can handle it."

He nods his head we go in the rig. I sit down in the table room and sit down then start reading. My phone rings after a while. I grab it and see it's Whitney.

"Hey Whitney," I said.
"Hey. Did you and Mike make it to Spring Creek?" She asks.
"Yeah. I'm in the Rig. Mike is out with Pops. I still think it was a good day to have my bridal shower."
"It's tomorrow and it's going to be fun."
"Great."
"It's Alice in Wonderland theme and has sugar."
"I'm sure it be fun. I don't want to be where I am today so I'm grumpy."
"I can tell. I see you at dinner."
"Yeah. Just make sure the Martian's aren't there."
"I will and if they plan on coming. I got the address of wrong and you got it from me."
"Thanks. I can deal with them but just not here right now."
"I Know. It's fine."
"Bye."
"Bye."

I hang up and go back to ridding my book till the end of the races. I down and outside and sit on the steps of the Rig. I move when Broc pulls in. I stay to the side as the team starts doing things. Ken Pulls u and I look at him.

"How you do?" I asks.
"Fifth overall," Ken said.

I nod my head. He came over to me. I warp my arms around him. I hug him tight and kiss the top of his head.

"You do better next time," I said.
"Yeah."

He let me go and walk inside the rig. I stay to the side. I look and see Blake caring Mike with Pops beside them.

"What happen?" I asks going up.

Mike reach out to me. I grab him and hold him to me tight.

"Are you ok?" I asks.

Mike starts crying. I look at Pops.

"Is he ok?" I ask.
"Someone tried to grab him," pops said.
"I want Daddy," Mike said.

I nod my head and take him in the rig and see Ken is putting his shoes on. He looks up and I hand him Mike. He holds on to Mike.

"What happen?" Ken asks.
"Your my daddy right?" Mike asks.
"Yes. I'm your daddy. I will always be your daddy."

Ken looks at me.

"Someone tried to grab him," I said.

I turn and run outside and see Pops.

"Where is Blake?" I asks.
"He went back," Pops said.

I sit down feeling it's hard to breath almost certain that Mike's Sperm donor is the one that grab him. I feel a little wired and blink but see black. I open my eyes and see Ken is kneeling next to me.

"What happen?" I asks.
"You fainted," Ken said.
"I want to leave and never come back here," I said.
"Do you feel ok?"
"I'm a little off."
"Want to go to a hospital?"
"No."

He nods his head and Mike came and push Ken.

"Are you ok mommy?" Mike asks.
"Yeah. Are you ok?" I asks and pick him up and set him on my lap.
"I'm ok."

Mike lays his head on my shoulder. Ken kiss his forehead then mine.

"Let me get the bags then we go to the truck," Ken said.

I nod my head. He leaves to the rig. I kiss Mike's forehead.

"Was it a good race?" I asks.
"Yeah Daddy was off all day," Mike said.

I kiss his head.

"Do you know that math?" He asks.
"I'm sure someone at dinner can tell us the line up as it is now," I said.

He nods his head. Ken came over and I grab my purse and my book. Ken grabs Mike and we walk to the truck. I sit in the front and Ken looks at me.

"Where are we going for dinner?"
"I don't know. Whitney is spouse to text me."

I grab my phone and see that Whitney hasn't text me. I call her.

"Hey," Whitney said.
"Hey. Where are we eating?" I ask.
"You guys are already to go?"
"Yep."

I look at Ken looking at the time.

"You done?" I asks.
"I did everything I have to do."
"Meaning there were others that you didn't do."
"It's fine. Kenny told me that I could go."

I sigh and nod my head at him.

"Pick a place. We will meet you there," She said.
"What about the plan?"
"Blake told Ryan and your dad that if your last name isn't Dungey or Roczen they won't be at the dinner table."
"Ok I will text you when we figure it out."
"Got it bye."
"Bye."

Ken looks at me.

"How close to my parent's house can we get before it's mean to Jade?"
"Thirty minutes to forty minutes."

I nod my head and he starts driving out of the place. I found a place and send it to Whitney then put it on so Ken can figure it out. He drives to the place and Ken looks at me.

"You good?" Ken asks.
"Yeah I'm good."

I get out and get Mike out.

"What happen to your dad?" I asks.
"He's getting a ride to the airport with someone form the team," Ken said.
"That's good."

Ken kiss the top of my head. We go inside. Ken goes and talk to the hostess about a table before we sit down. We start talking while waiting for the table. Mike ends up falling asleep. I move him to lay down on my and Ken's lap. Blake, Meghan, my mom and dad came in. I smile at them a little.

"He's asleep," My mom said.
"He got scared at the end of the race," Ken said.

I look at Blake.

"Who grab him?" I asks looking at Blake.
"It doesn't matter," Blake said.

I look at Blake and point to him.

"He was scared about Ken not being his dad so it matters," I said.
"You have an idea about who it is," Blake said.
"So are you telling me it's his sperm donner?"
"Yes."

I sigh and run a hand through my hair.

"It really doesn't matter. He didn't bother you," Blake said.
"No he just tried to take my son away."
"He just wanted to talk to him."
"Can you blame him? Mike is his kid," My dad said.

I look at my dad then look at Mike.

"No. He has no part in Mike's Life. He agree to it," I said.
"He made a deal," My dad said.
"The deal was simple because I understood it at 15."
"What deal?" Ken asks.
"The sperm donner would sign his rights away and the charge would be dropped to Statutory rape only," I said.

Ken nods his head.

"You never told him?" My mom.

Mike sits up then lay his head back down. I run my hand through his hair. He looks at me.

"Hey baby," I said.
"I took a nap," He said.
"Yep."

He looks around then looks at me. Ken gets up and goes to the hostess. He came back.

"We got a table," He said.

He grabs Mike and Mike lay on his shoulder. I get up and fallow them to the table. Ken sits down but didn't put Mike down. I look at Mike and see his eyes close. Ken run his hand through his hair and Mike went to fix it.

"No more sleeping," Ken said.
"I know," Mike said.

Whitney, Jade, Ryan and Lindsay came. I hug Whitney and she smiles at me as she sits down next to me.

"Where is Liam?" Mike asks.
"I left him with my sister at home," Whitney said.
"Why?"
"I'm only going to be gone for a few days and he doesn't need to travel right now."
"Ok."

Whitney smiles and lean over and kiss Mike's forehead.

"Do you like Liam?" Whitney asks.
"Sure," Mike said.

Whitney looks at him and then at me.

"Don't know," I said.

The waitress came and we all order drinks. Jade looks at me when I order a Jack and coke.

"Everything ok?" Blake asks.
"Yep," I said looking at the menu.

"So Mike where did you watch the race?" Ryan asks.
"In the dirt with Pops," Mike said.
"That's good."

I look at Mike and Ken puts him in the chair.

"What do you want?" I asks.
"Chicken nuggets," Mike said.
"Got it."

The waitress came and set the drinks down. We order our food. I grab my cup and take a sip of it.

"We going to talk about what we were talking about again?" My dad asks.
"Nope," I said.

Jade looks at me then at Ken. Ken grabs his phone then there are three beeps. Jade, Whitney, and Ryan all look at their phones and read it then look at my dad.

"What's going on?" Mike asks looking up at me.
"We were talking about something during your nap. It's over with," I said.

Ryan shakes his head.

"So what's is the plan for tomorrow?" Ryan asks.
"It's Jezebel's bridal shower," Lindsay said.

Jade looks at Lindsay then at me.

"So Ken what are you and Mike doing?" Jade asks.
"Not too sure," Ken said.

Jade looks at me.

"Been busy," I said.
"Ok I will figure out what to do," Jade said.
"No I will. I still live here so I know things to do," Blake said.

Ryan shakes his head and look at Mike.

"Mike you want to do something tomorrow?" Ryan asks.
"I want a cookie tomorrow," Jade said.
"Go to Disneyworld," Mike said.
"Can't there isn't one here."

Mike looks at Ken.

"Daddy tell Uncle Ryan he's wrong," Mike said.
"He's not. There are only two in the united states," Ken said.
"Why do people live anywhere else?"
"Disneyland isn't the whole world," My mom said.
"There is a track everywhere," Mike said.
"It's different buddy," Ken said.
"There was the one in Germany."

Blake looks at me.

"You took him to the one in Germany when you went that one year?" Blake asks.
"Yeah," I said.
"You spoil the kid so much that he doesn't know that there isn't one everywhere," My dad said.
"I know they are not everywhere I just thought they were in the big cities," Mike said.

I nod my head at Mike. Workers came and put our food out. I start eating as my brother's throw out ideas about things to take Mike to.
