the Taming of a Dixon

Chapter 1

Merle Dixion wasn't a man to go to group meetings, wheather it be for AA or some anger therapy.

But here he was in a group therapy meetings full of annoying ass holes (thanks to court orders), well he made for one exception.

A little chubby chick who always had her head down and writing in her note book.

Yeah he's heared her talk once, but that's when they had to "share" something, even then she looked and sounded painfully shy.

Her shoulder's hunched like she was waiting for anything, her hair was once a dark brown when he first saw her; but by then her friend had gotten a hold of her hair and dyed it red, which Merle thought was a good color on her.

Merle had been watching this girl sense he started coming to this meeting, there seemed to be an air about her like she was hiding who she was. She seemed to intruge him, but didn't want to get close to her.

He really didn't want to get close to anyone, that's not who he was. So he kept watching her to a minimal, though he did wonder at times what she writes in that note book of hers.

Katy knew he was watching, she could feel his blue eyes on her watching her.

Though every time she looked he would quickly look away, so she kept her head down letting him.

Her friend Tina had pointed this out to her every chance she got, even went as far as to tell her she should talk to the man.

Merle Dixon seemed intimidating, she didn't know how to handle a man like him.

Yeah she found his crude humer funny unlike everyone else, she admired the man from afar. But would never admit she had a crush due to the fact that not many guys found her apealing, though Tina keeps pointing out his staring.

The groups were ment to help, but Katy felt more anxious and out of place then helped.

It was a particular day in group, Katy came in sat down and opened her note book.

Tina hadn't picked her up who was her usual ride, a couple of the girls were there one who was annoying that sets Katy off.

That's when she hears the chair next to her, figuring it was Tina she goes back to writing until she feels someone leaning in.

"Well sugartits what you writing?" came a gruff voice from beside her.

Katy's whole body went stiff, her hands sweaty this was the first time he has ever talked to her.

Grabbing her note book he starts looking at it then her, how was she to talk to him?

Her face red and her chest heaving, she watched as Merle went through her note book. His blue eyes scaning each page until a hand reached out grabing it from his hands.

"No book for you!" Tina smacked his head, throwing it back at Katy.

Looking up Merle gives the black haired goth chick a death glare, only to have Tina give him a what look.

"Is there a problem?" She asks, him.

"No, just curiouse as to what you're girl writes." Merle smirks.

Tina scuffs as she takes a chair and puts it between them, putting her notebook away Katy looks down at her hands.

"Nope, sorry but umm I don't think you asked nore did she say yes."

Merle chucckles as he shakes his head, he knew it was gunna be hard if he wanted to talk to this chick.

Group as always was boring, Merle couldn't help but look at Katy who seemed anxious.

He fround as she fiddled with her hands, rubing them up and down her arms as if she were cold. He had seen his baby brother do that once, and wondered if Katy was going through something more then he was seeing.

At break Tina dragged Katy outside to smoke, well for Tina to smoke Katy wasn't one to smoke.

Merle smirked as he walked over "Could I bum a cig off ya Goth?"

Freezing Katy looks at Tina who raises an eye brow "No you redneck bastard."

Backing away slowly, Katy watches both her best friend and her crush stare at each other.

That's when Merle Burst out laughing "I like you goth! You're alright, ya got some punk!"

Sighing Katy's shoulder's relaxed as Tina handed off a ciggeret, her head down biting her lower lip.

What was she to say? Hi? Ugh she really didn't want to sound like a mojore dork.

Looking between them, Merle couldn't help but look at Katy and be reminded of a mouse.

Skittish and shy, her head was kept down "Ain't got to be afraid of ol' Merle little mouse."

Katy looks up shocked "I thought I was sugar tits?"

"Sugar tits?" Tina looks between them "Hey man those tits are mine."

Merle raises an eye brow "What you two carpet munchers?" He pointed between them.

Katy's eyes widen as she shakes her head feriously, trying to tell him without talking that she wasn't.

Tina was laughing at the look on his face, as Katy hid her face in her hands groaning.

"Maybe I am, you got a problem with that?" Tina asked, after finnaly calming down.

Merle shook his head and looked over at Katy, who's face was red and still hiding in her hands.

Chuckling he couldn't help but find her cute, there was somthing about this girl he wanted to know more about one way or another.
