What if Ash had grown up in Team Rocket? This story takes place in a parallel timeline to Don't Give Me Diamonds, in the same universe. It explains the event which caused the parallel timeline to be created and the events which served as a catalyst for the later merge of the timelines when they became similar enough. However, those are just details, the true focus of the story is on Ash and Misty and their interactions in a different situation. Years after starting his journey, Ash, Indigo League champion, is training to inherit Team Rocket. Misty, Cerulean gym leader, is secretly part of an organization trying to bring Team Rocket to justice.
