I Want the One I Can't Have

I swear, I never knew what drugs were

Jack and Alex spent the rest of the days they had alone basking in each others company. They couldn't get enough of each other, simply cuddling all day one day, on the second day, they watched a few movies. On their last day together, Jack decided he wanted to make a cake for Alex's birthday. Of course, Alex agreed, not having the heart to turn him down - especially not when he made that adorable pouty face, he kissed his forehead, and smiled as they went to make a cake. The older boy found an old recipe book, and they measured out exacts for each ingredient, they collectively managed to make the mixture and put it in the oven.

One thing Jack Barakat had never particularly been, was patient, and this was a perfect example. He got bored after 5 minutes, and slowly dipped his hand in the bag of flour, getting a small heap in the palm of his hand.

"Lex?" He asked suddenly, waiting for Alex to look at him before he blew the flour in his face. He immediately burst into hysterical laughter, partly at the shocked expression of his boyfriend, partly at the somewhat immature trick. It wasn't long before he got a face full (and mouthful for that matter) of flour himself. They started smearing various foods all over each other, after a while, Alex had Jack pinned down by his arms. He licked some Nutella off Jack's nose and grinned
"If we go now..we've go time to shower before the cake is done," Alex commented, kissing him again, and pulling him upstairs. Of course, they showered together, making time to have a slow make out session as they did. Alex's hands were lightly massaging Jack's scalp as they kissed, slow and passionate. He hummed as they pulled apart, smiling "the cake will be done soon," he murmured softly.

After having taken the cake out, and decorated it, the two boys took the opportunity to make out again, on the couch this time. Alex was awaiting a phone call from his parents to wish him a happy birthday, but he really was enjoying straddling the younger boy, and pinning his arms down as they kissed. Jack moved to kiss at his neck as the phone rang and Alex spoke to his parents, telling them Rian had helped him make a cake and he'd had a party. He eventually hung up, and grinned at Jack before kissing him again
"I could do this forever," he murmured. He kissed him once more "the cake with be cool enough to decorate," he smiled softly.

A few days later, Alex was lay on his bed, occasionally kissing Jack, but mainly just holding him, enjoying the feeling of being able to freely hold his boyfriend. They were lay in silence, just basking in the company when a car door slammed shut. Alex looked at Jack wide eyed and sat up "they're back early, I'm so sorry..you're gonna have to hide," he told the taller boy, showing him a few places to hide. Alex kissed him again quickly and rushed out of the room. He greeted his mom with a smile
"You're back early," he commented, kissing her cheek and taking her bag. She hummed
"Your father had an argument with the hotel manager," she muttered. She went into Alex's room "did Rian help you tidy this as well?" She asked him. He walked in after her, looking around to see if he could find Jack.
"Yeah he did," he answered softly, panicking a little at how there were two of everything set in the sink for him to wash "he stayed over as well, his parents don't like him to come home drunk," he lied smoothly as she left. He went into his walk in wardrobe and found jack, figuring he had probably hidden there. He pulled him close and rested his head on the younger boys shoulder "meet me tonight by the docks," he murmured with a grin, holding up a small baggie with green clumps in it. Neither of the boys did weed often, more of a special occasion thing, and Alex had just turned 18, this occasion was as special as any. Jack grinned and kissed him
"We could make out endlessly while we're high again, we've not done that in a while," he smirked, kissing his jaw softly and smiling. Alex smirked, liking the idea and kissing Jack again.

Jack climbed out of Alex's window and went home, making sure to grab a few snacks for when they inevitably got the munchies.

Later that night, when most people were asleep, Jack, as promised, snuck out of his house at 11:30, when everyone was in bed. He met Alex in their usual spot with his bag of food, and they went to the end of the wooden dock, so they were just under a street lamp. Barely anyone came down here at night, so they wouldn't be caught and there was a small hut where they could go for shelter if they wanted to make out if it rained. Alex pulled out the baggie and Jack produced a bong and a lighter. They assembled everything, and Alex took the first shot. He inhaled the drug, holding it in his lungs for a moment, before slowly exhaling. Jack did the same, then Alex inhaled some more, beckoning for Jack to move closer, and sensually exhaling the smoke into his mouth, before they kissed lazily.

Once they were sufficiently high, Jack put the bong away and grabbed the food as his munchies started to kick in. Alex looked out at the sea as he ate a peanut butter cup
"Do you ever consider running away?" He asked Jack "just you and me against the world," he smiled. Jack lay his head on Alex's shoulder and hummed, he was currently working his way through a pack of cold pop tarts. After eating almost heir body-weight in food, Alex kissed Jack meaningfully. He pulled him close and kissed him, tugging on his hair. The boys cleared away their stuff, and it didn't take long for them to get back to making out messily on the end. Of a pier, then eventually just laying next to each other and watching he sun come up.
"We should go home," Jack murmured lazily "at least we don't have school tomorrow," he murmured as they got up and cleared their stuff away into a bag.
