I Guess You Can Call These...

Just Your Loss

For: iluvmycats

David and I have been going out for a few months now.
We had already said I love you and I meant it.
I did love David.
He was the perfect guy for me.
I went away on winter break to visit my family up north.
All in all it was a good Christmas.
I came back a day early and went over to David’s house to surprise him.
His mom told me he was upstairs.
I hurried to his room and heard, rather gross noises.
I kicked open the door and saw David and Tosha naked.
I shock my head.
“Alessandra!” he said smiling. “You’re back,”
“And you’re with the school’s slut. You two have fun,” I snapped and walked out.
I headed over to Miranda’s house.
I knocked on her front door and my best friend opened the door.
“I hate David,” I said.
“What happened?” she asked leading me inside.
Once I told her what happened she was ready to kick his ass.
She was fuming.
She called our best guy friend Tom over.
Tom came over in a heartbeat when he found out what David did.
He was also fuming.
I had to say, I did have some pretty awesome friends.
“Are you sure your okay?” Tom asked me for the last time.
“I’m fine,”
“Alessandra,”
“I am,” I reassured him.
“Okay,” he said hugging me.
I kissed his cheek before walking inside the house.

School started and word had it that Tosha and David were a thing.
I forced a smiled on my face as I walked through the hallway and saw them together.
Tom and Miranda had my back the whole time.
I made it through the week.
The school day ended and Tom and I were at Starbucks.
We like to hang out there with Miranda, but she had dance today.
Around eight o’clock Tom drove me home.
“Later,” I said as we reached my front door.
“See you tomorrow,” he grinned.
Tom lingered by the front door for a while before leaning in.
Our lips meet and moved as one.

Tom and started dating on Monday.
Miranda was so excited for us.
David was less happy.
The tried to get me back.
“Please Alessandra!” David begged.
I was waiting for Tom to come from basketball practice.
“No! You had you’re chance and you blew it. So, I guess it’s just your loss,”
Tom walked out of the school and wrapped his arm around me.
We walked away from David and headed to Tom’s car.
