The Night Shades.

I live on a world that was created many generations ago, we weren't the first ones here and we knew that very well. They were the creatures of the night and day, we called them Night Shades. I was told stories of them as I grew up, how our people came to this land seeking to make it a home. But when night fell, many were killed for trying to steal the land as their own. The people who survived pleaded for their lives, and begged to make a deal.

So a deal was made, we were to stay on our side and in our territory, use the supplies provided to us. But we were never to enter the woods, that was the deal and that deal was honored, until now.

The universe took its time on you.
Crafted you precisely,
So you could offer the world
Something distinct from everyone else.
