Lucy’s POV- December 2015
I glanced up when there was a knock on the door.

“Fil, can you get the door?” I called out.

Fil was eating in the kitchen because he claimed the dust on the boxes in the living room was going to contaminate the food.

“Use your keys, you will save us a lot of time”

I laughed and glanced up as Mattias and Filip made their way into the living room. Fil walked back into the kitchen and Mattias looked at me.

“Wow, Fil was right. Those are a lot of boxes”

I nodded slowly.

“Only because Filip insisted I bring the skeleton” I said.

He hummed and nodded slowly.

“What are you looking for?”

“Some pictures” I told him,

He nodded slowly and I opened a box.

“How’s that going?”

I smiled when I realized I had found the pictures I was looking for.

“Good, I found the pictures” I said.

Mattias nodded and I set the pictures aside.

“Why do you need those pictures?”

“One of my dad’s colleagues is looking for some pictures from their 1996 dig” I said.

“Dig?”

“My dad was an paleoanthropologist” I told him.

He nodded slowly and I smiled.

“I was named Lucy because of the skeleton named Lucy” I said.

He smiled and bent down.

“Really?”

“Yea, my dad named me and mom named Drew” I said making him hum.

“Interesting”

I nodded and he sneezed.

“Go away now” I told him.

He chuckled and leaned down. He pecked my lips and stood up.

“What did you make?”

“See for yourself” I told him.

He nodded and followed Boba into the kitchen. I stood up and closed the boxes before setting them in the corner of the living room. One of my dad’s close friends had gotten in contact with me, and had politely asked for the pictures. I had asked him to give me a few days until I located them. The death of my family was unexpected, and Uncle Nick packed up my dad’s office, as well as everything in the house and stored everything in a storage room. I didn’t see all the stuff until my 18th birthday when I told Uncle Nick to sell my parents house.

“Lucy!”

I walked into the kitchen and raised an eyebrow at Filip.

“You were named after a skeleton!”

I nodded.

“I thought you were named after the Beatles song”

“Well technically yea, they were listening to Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds when they discovered her” I said.

He hummed and nodded.

“Did you eat already?”

I shook my head.

“No, I will though. I need to wash my hands” I told him.

Mattias nodded, and I turned to the kitchen sink. I washed my hands with soap and grabbed a plate.

“Don’t worry about dishes, I got them”

I looked at Filip and nodded as I began serving myself food.

“Thanks” I told him.

“You’re welcome. I’m going to go see the skeleton now”

I nodded and he left to the living room. I looked at Mattias and set next to him.

“I called Nick today”

He reached for my cup and filled it up with juice.

“What’d he say?” I asked.

He smiled and looked at me.

“You’re serious?” I asked.

He nodded.

“I asked him if he would mind if we lived together next year and he said he would not”

“Hmm” I said.

He chuckled.

“You’re supposed to be happy too”

“I am, I just…” I said.

We weren’t married, and I thought Uncle Nick would never allow Angela and I to live with a guy unless we were married.

“He asked if your were pregnant”

I smiled.

“What did you say?” I asked.

“I told him you weren’t…. you aren’t pregnant right?”

I laughed.

“I am not pregnant” I told him.

Mattias nodded slowly and smiled.

“Ok”

“What if I were though?” I asked.

He shrugged and kissed my forehead.

“Then we would be having a baby”

“You want kids right?” I asked.

He nodded.

“Of course I want kids. What kind of person doesn’t want kids?”

I shrugged and he smiled.

“How many do you want?”

“I want 3” I said.

He nodded slowly.

“You?” I asked.

“I want 5 but a pair would be nice”

I nodded at him and he kissed my forehead.

“You’re picking up my parents right?”

“Yes, your mom sent me the flight info” I told him.

“You’re the best”

I smiled.

“I know” I said earning a laugh from him.
