Lucy’s POV- March 2016
“You are getting so many brownie points right now” I told Mattias as I set my glass of water on his coffee table.

“Yea?”

“The food was so good” I told him.

He glanced up from the kitchen and smiled.

“You left room for desert, right?”

I nodded.

“Yes” I said looking at him.

He got two forks and made his way over.

“I remember how much you liked the apple pie mom made christmas day”

“It was so good” I told him as he handed me a fork.

I took the fork and he sat down next to me.

“Just this slice?” I asked him.

He laughed.

“There is more, don’t you worry”

I nodded and opened my mouth as he offered me some.

“This is so good, who knew you could bake” I said making him laugh.

I fed him a piece of apple pie.

“Mom had faith in me”

I nodded and scooped some pie up with a fork.

“This is so good” I said eating it.

He nodded and we quietly ate the slice. I leaned my head against his shoulder and smiled at him.

“This was really nice” I admitted.

He smiled.

“It is, we should have nights like this more often”

I nodded and smiled.

“I’m all in for a nice night and dressing up, but how about we change and watch a movie?” I asked him.

He smiled and nodded.

“Alright”

I stood up and looked at him.

“I’ll take the plate and cup to the kitchen” I told him.

He nodded and stood up. I made my way into the kitchen and set the plate and cup inside the dishwasher. I washed my hands and shut the light off before making my way to Mattias’ bedroom. I opened the door and smiled as I closed the door. There was a small trail of roses that stopped at his dresser. There was a note that was folded in half, and as I reached for it I heard Mattias behind me. He took a deep breath as I opened the note. I turned around and covered my mouth with my hands as Mattias smiled and got on his knee. What did the note say?

It said, Marry me?

“Lucy, will you marry me?”

He laughed as I nodded a lot and jumped on him. I kiseed his cheek and then connected my mouth with his. I felt his hand on my jaw and that was when I noticed I was crying. I pulled away and laughed as I looked at him.

“Yes” I told him as he put the ring on my finger.

He wiped my face and laughed.

“Yes” I told him again.

I nodded at him.

“Yes” I said.

He kissed my forehead.

“I think I broke you”

I smiled at him and he cocked his head to the side.

“Lucy Ekholm…it sounds nice, right?”

I guess I got my happily ever after, afterall.
