Percy and Annabeth had just finished their first term at The College of Manhattan -Annabeth studying architecture and Percy, Marine Biology. It wasn't going to great because Percy could barely focus on the textbooks but being with Annabeth, fighting the occasional monster that came their way, meeting new friends, helping his father Poseidon campaign against cruelty to sealife, Percy was having the time of his life.
They were meeting up with the crew of the Argo II and the rest of the friends they had made from Camp Half Blood and Camp Jupiter. Hazel and Leo had planned a Christmas party to celebrate the beginning of winter break, it was at Frank and Hazels place in New Rome... but Annabeth has a surprise for him.
