Yet again I am driving away from home on that strong road. The world is black around me and I am driving fast.
Lightning illuminates the sky but never strikes downward. Again and again, it weaves through the dark gray above us. The thunder reaches its way through my car and shakes my bones.
The world around me is alive for once, but I can't take my eyes off what is in front of me. I long to lie on the grass facing the heavens and watching Zeus fight with Thor. How could I though, when there were places to be?
As I drove south, a coldness crept through my body. Everything I want I must forego in the process to achieve it.
