Limbo

I was lost.

My body repeated learned actions aimlessly to pass the time. My mind drifted through the day at a distance to avoid emotions. My heart gradually turned to stone to avoid being torn to shreds once again.

I wanted to stay in limbo for eternity.

But you found me. You grasped my body and guided it until my feet were steady on the earth. You entertained my mind so much that it became immersed in new cocktails of pleasant chemicals. You chipped away the stone surrounding my heart to reveal the beating muscle inside.

I want to stay found for eternity.
