If I Was Your Vampire

Runaway Train

These past few weeks have been the best I have ever experienced. It has been one month since Damon and I said our "I do's", and we were overjoyed with bliss. We spent our summer going to rock concerts, swimming at the watering hole with Car and Stefan, and spending time wrapped up in each other. Last night my father had a heart attack and was admitted to the hospital. The doctors told us to prepare for these next few days being the end.

This is why we were up, dressed and walking out the door at seven in the morning- we were entrusted by my father to pick my sister up from her best friends dorm room at Whitmore College and bring her to the hospital to say goodbye. I was wearing a short red spaghetti strapped dress and black boots, Damon in black jeans and a black muscle shirt. With sunglasses on our face as we got into his blue convertible, I couldn't help but think how incredible we looked for being up so early. I smiled at Damon as he started the engine and he couldn't help but ask. "Miss Salvatore what has you smiling so big this morning?"

I shook my head and chuckled. "I was just selfishly thinking we make a really sexy ass couple. I mean look at us. We are hot. Damn." I said touching my hip touching it, letting off a 'sizzle' noise while raising my eyebrows- making him laugh.

"We are, aren't we? Good thing we are immortal. The gift that keeps on sharing...." he joked laughing and kissing me before pulling the car out onto the road and heading to my sister, blaring White Zombie, 'thrust" and singing as loud as he could.

"Thrust in deep there are no limitations - Wing shaped
constellations everywhere now - Creep, babe, creep your
life's a suicide and I said "I'm gonna ride it" She don't care
now"

I shook my head as he continued singing. He was such an upbeat person I couldn't imagine him being a 'miserable prick' as Stefan refers to him from the past. With me he was perfect- and never stopped.

We arrived at Whitmore around lunchtime and walked up to the dormroom where my sister was supposed to be spending the weekend with her best friend Kristen. When we approached the room all I could hear was two people inside in the midst of a heavy make out session. I pointed to my ear and then to the room and Damon shook his head, frowning at what my sister might be up to inside. He knocked on the door loudly and I could hear the girl inside say to a male voice, 'shit its my dad!".

Moments later a curly haired red head opened the door, just enough for herself to be visible, standing in shorts and a shirt that was worn inside out. "Can I help you with something?!" She said unhappily when she realized we interrupted her and she wasn't in trouble. Damon pushed the door open the rest of the way and walked inside, checking under the bed and behind the door before stopping at the closet and looking back at the frazzled redhead, and smirked at her while she began to protest.

I shook my head as Damon pulled open the door, picked up the poor jock wearing only his boxers and threw him onto the bed across the room. Then he grabbed the girl and sat her down next to him as she began to cry. I walked inside the door and shut it behind me, walking into the room and standing next to my man.

"I'm looking for my sister, Brittany. She's 16 and she's supposed to be here, with you." I said pointing at the redhead. I vaguely remembered her and the guy in her bed from our wedding.

"Holy shit dude, don't hurt us, she's not here!" The Jo's screamed as Damon glared at him.

"Well where the hell did she go?!" Damon responded and the girl went to reach for her phone- but Damon grabbed it first, obviously. "Lookie here baby- her name is under Brittany Badass.... oh! It's ringing!"

"When Britt answered with a quick 'hey krissy' Damon put it on speaker and motioned for the redhead to speak.

"Hey where are you?"

"You know I'm with Mike."

"Yeah but are you at his place?"

"No we are almost to your dorm. He has class i will be there in two minutes."

Damon hung the phone up and smiled at me at a task almost completed before compelling the couple that we were never there and taking reds phone. We walked out into the hall, then down into the parking lot but didn't see her. Frustrated we called a second time- this time a guy answered.

"Hello?"

"Hey. Who's this?" Damon said while putting the phone on speaker.

"I go by different names but you can call me Mike. Your sister in law does."

"Where's Britt?"

"She's with me. She recognized your car so we had to go. She is staying with me."

The guy hung up before we could say more. I was freaking out, this guy took my sister and won't let us see her. My dad is going to die and we are out here playing games. Ridiculous.

We walked back to redheads room and I kicked in the door. The couple was back into a heavy make out session and jumped when I burst in, Damon behind me grabbed my arm as I reached for the girls throat.

"Honey, you don't want to eat her- you need information remember?" He said as he stepped in between me and my target. After a few moments he slowly released my arm and walked over to the girl and compelled her.

"Look at me college girl. Where does Mike live?"

"Twenty miles from here at a farmhouse off pinnacle road. A bunch of them live there."

"A bunch of what?" He said looking at her confused.

"Guys. Mike told Britt they are a wolf pack."

"Why is she with him?"

"They are dating. She said he wanted to date your sister in law. He knows who you are Damon."

"Forget we were ever here. You broke the door. Understand?"

"I understand."

I watched as he pulled the same info from the boyfriend and then wiped them both. Damon pulled me out of there quickly afterwards and within minutes we were in the car flying out of town towards the farmhouse. I couldn't believe how incredibly stupid my sister was. From what I understand the wolf problem was huge about fifteen years ago. It took a long time to get them away from Mystic Falls, and a year ago they had a pack try to invade yet again. Damon didn't have to talk- I saw the fear in his eyes. When we got five miles from the road he turned off and parked in the woods, pulled out his phone and dialed Caroline, while squeezing my hand.
